stories short and great for driving

Unrealistic Accents. I am southern and narrator sounded like New Yorker trying to sound southern.

Distractingly Bad Narration

The accent that the narrater is distractingly bad.
I read the kindle book previously and liked it. I didn’t realize the book I read would be the first story in this one. But omg bad narrater accent. I’m sure it was intentional and as I said. Distractingly bad.

Narrator was a turn off

Not sure if the story picks up and goes somewhere, but the voice of the narrator distracted from the story. when she voiced what I assumed was the hero, she made him sound goofy, for lack of another word. The love scene she narrated was extremely flat. She seemed to have a nice enough voice, and an accent that wasn't annoying, but maybe this genre isn't for her voice type.

poor performance by Narrator

i didn't even get passed the first chapter let alone the first book.
Not because the story, it sounded like it was going to be good. i couldn't get over the narrator's voice. the heavy southern accent was distracting and her attempts at emotion and the male lead were cringe worthy.

disliked the way the narrator spoke. couldn't listen to it. it was like nails on a chalkboard

Positively Awful Narration!

I could not dive into the story due to the awful narration. It was overly melodramatic and the actor was too aged to play a young woman. The obviously fake appalachian accent made it completely unlistenable! I'm upset I wasted a credit on it. Do better!

Distracting

The narratsor's accents were so distracting and grating, it was difficult to focus on the content. When reading materials are not serious, I like to listen to relax. This was unpleasant.

Not what I thought I was getting

I guess I missed the description of it being “short” stories. It’s more like a long sample of the three books not the entire books. I’m very disappointed in that and I really regret using my credit on this. Also, the narrators voice does not match the characters. It’s very distracting.
