What an introduction

This is my first book by this author, and it won't my last. Look at the cover? Oh, yes please.

This book is so full of over-the-top alpha goodness and one very strong-willed heroine. I have to admit I don't normally listen to Paranormal fiction. This was certainly an introduction, I don't regret.

This story is about a virus which turns the male populations into uncontrollable beast. The two main actors are Mallory (a reporter who has had firsthand exposure to the Awaken virus and Origin (a male who was turned by the virus).

This book has all the feels and certainly a few plots twist you don't see coming.

I love the narrators Kelsey Navarro and James Anderson Foster. I believe they were certainly the perfect pick for Mal and Orion.

Set aside a day and dive into this amazing Anna Fury offering, you won't be sorry you did.

I hesitated getting this book

I hesitated getting this book because there was a skip in the sample I thought that was how the actual book was going to be but it's not if you actually get the book there's no skip there I really enjoyed this book

Interesting story/ fn not great

Had read the Kindle book before buying the Audiobook so I was already impressed with the unique storyline & it’s possibilities; I’d def recommend it.
Unfortunately I did not enjoy the Audiobook due to the female narrator, Kelsey. She has a dry, almost monotone voice with these little rhythmic lilts that sound planned out, probably to compensate, but didn’t do the trick & instead sounded jarring. The male narrator, James, did a nice job & was believable as his character. Still it wasn’t an easy or enjoyable Audible for me & skipped almost all of the fmc parts.

An amazing introduction to the OV world

This was my first OV book and, when the audiobook was released, I knew I had to buy it. I loved the world building and the story but the narrators took the awesome characters to a whole new level! I will definitely check other audiobooks from Anna Fury’s world.

I read this book on kindle a while back, when I found out the audiobook was available I immediately had to get it!
I love how unique this series is and I have yet to read anything else like it.
The narrators did and incredible job and I highly recommend this series 😍

Dystopian Omegaverse Romance

The Alpha Awakens by Anna Fury is a dystopian omegaverse romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Kelsey Navarro and James Anderson Foster. This is the first book in the Alpha Compound series.

This is the first book of Anna's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I enjoyed the relationship between Orion and Mallory. I liked that we got both of their points of views throughout the book.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Wake Up, Alpha to be released on audio so I can get Samson and Pen's story.

Kelsey and James did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dystopian romances or omegaverse romances.

Omg yes please! Definitely a must listen

Goodness gracious…I now have a new favorite OV author. 😍 This book was absolutely divine and the narrators just brought this book to life! First off, I love me an OTT possessive alphahole but Ri is just something different. I loved that this book was mostly his POV and his feelers made my heart all melty. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the series progresses and what comes next. I’m obsessed and I know this is going to go on the top my comfort read/listen list from now on.

I read the book and then bought the audio - excellent narration

I loved the duet narration in this introduction to Anna's alphas. This book makes the world feel post apocalyptic and it's easy to see the world building develop.
Mallory is a reporter struggling to make it and stay safe in a world that is post pandemic of an alpha evolution. Women aren't safe and everything is hard to come by.
Mallory’s own life has been affected by the “awakening” of the alpha in a devastating way. She is reasonably cautious and still reeling from the loss she endured.
Orion is a pack enforcer who has gone after a wayward pack mate Samson, who is. struggling with his body's way of processing his transition. When Orion finds Samson too close to Mal he saves her and brings him back to the compound to be sedated.
Meanwhile he can't get her out of his mind.
His pack alpha Mitchell and his wife Alice ask him to go back and invite the reporter to come and stay with the pack to interview and get to know them, Orion can't say no to having her close and he is becoming obsessed with the curious draw he has towards her and his overwhelming need to be near her.
Tike the way the relationship builds and the way that as much as they try to reason with their minds the chemistry is mind-blowing.
While the alphas over all are misunderstood Mallory and the crew are working hard to dispel the myths that all alphas are bad. There are nefarious forces at work trying to ruin their bond and destroy the pack.
Would recommend if you like omegaverse, fated mates, books about shifters, spicy books and HEA

Interesting take on omegaverse

Ill call it omegaverse “light” . Anna Fury has built the harsh dystopian world where a new breed of “ alpha men” are feared and outcast to live in a secluded compound. They become “the other” and Mal our heroine who started off absolute terrified of them overcomes her fears and goes to the compound with Orion our “ good” Alpha to learn more about this new breed and of course trouble follows them through their journey of discovery, passion and danger. Curious about the rest of the characters, would like to listen to rest of series
