For Lovers of College Romances

Loved the story line and the chemistry between Declan and Makenna. Narration was on point, granted you can’t go wrong with Jason Clarke, hoping an Audible comes out for the other books in the series!

pretty good

This was pretty good but nothing addicting. I have been trying to find something similar to the off campus series. This is similar to that but the characters were just not there for me.

perfect narrators but okay story

Thank goodness for the narrators. They amp up the story. Jason and Emma were the perfect dual and I will look more from them. This author was new to me and she did a good job with the characters in this story. It's sports theme but the story was more than that. Some scenes made me a little emotional but nothing unique about the story. If you want an escape for a few hours, this one is for you!

Great College/Sports Romance and Enemies to lovers

This was my first Maya Hughes's book, and won't be my last. Shameless King is the first book in the Kings of Rittenhouse Series. I love the cover. This is a great college/sports romance, and enemies to lovers. The story is well written, fun, fast-paced, sweet, sexy, and emotional. Declan and Makenna are great characters, and they share a sizzling chemistry. Makenna is a beautiful woman, independent, hard worker, serious, caring, and supporting. Her past is heartbreaking, and at some point she makes me cry! Declan, a hockey player, is handsome, caring, and supportive. The supporting characters are great, and I would love to know more about them. Jason Clarke and Emma Wilder did a great job with the narration. I love their voices together. Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series. If you like college romance/sport romance, this one if for you! I highly recommend it.

Love comes when you least expect it!!

This is a great enemies to lovers book! Declan & Mak new each other in high school and think that neither has changed when they wind up together in class during there senior year at college! This book was amazing and I had an extremely hard time putting it down! I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to dive into the rest of this series!

The narrators were perfect for the characters and I can’t wait to read/listen to more by them!

Mak is soo annoying

It was a good love story but good lord that girl is so wound up expecting everything to be 100% perfect all the time.

Love these characters

I must admit I read this book a long while ago. And I loved Declan and Mac then. This narrative brings the story to a whole new level. These two are enemies in high school. Well not really. They just travel in different circles. As they approach their senior year in college they cross paths in the form of partners in a class they both must do well in to achieve their goals.
Emma Wilder is a new to me narrator. I will definitely not think twice to listen to her again. She drew such emotion out of this character that I felt it through my speakers. And Jason Clark is one of my favorites. His ability to convey the alpha character of Declan is so good. I might just run off for the rest of the series. Who am I kidding? I definitely will.

Loved it!

The Story was very entertaining and sweet. I loved both MC and I’m looking forward to hearing the rest of the kings books in the future. Both narrators were perfect!
Absolutely love Emma Wilder narrating! This was my first time listening to Jason Clarke and holy hell does he have a sexy voice.. I Definitely will be listening to him more in other books!

A good read!

I listened to this book because I heard it would be a good choice to read if you liked the off campus series by Elle Kennedy, so I gave it a go and I was not disappointed! The story was sweet and steamy enough but I will admit the off campus series is way better in every way possible, the characters, the story, the way it was written and the narrators were a lot better but I still really enjoyed this book! I do feel like they could’ve picked a better male narrator this just wasn’t the part for him. I will for sure be reading the other books in this series though!
