Publisher's Summary

"An Honest Lie is riveting suspense, but it’s also a scream of defiance, a howl of rage." --#1 New York Times bestselling author Colleen Hoover

“I’m going to kill her. You’d better come if you want to save her.”

Lorraine—“Rainy”—lives at the top of Tiger Mountain. Remote, moody, cloistered in pine trees and fog, it’s a sanctuary, a new life. She can hide from the disturbing past she wants to forget.

If she’s allowed to.

When Rainy reluctantly agrees to a girls’ weekend in Vegas, she’s prepared for an exhausting parade of shots and slot machines. But after a wild night, her friend Braithe doesn’t come back to the hotel room.

And then Rainy gets the text message, sent from Braithe’s phone: someone has her. But Rainy is who they really want, and Rainy knows why.

What follows is a twisted, shocking journey on the knife-edge of life and death. If she wants to save Braithe—and herself—the only way is to step back into the past.

This seething, gut-punch of a thriller can only have sprung from the fiendish brain of Tarryn Fisher, one of the most cunning writers of our time.

Quick and twisty read

No spoilers, don’t worry. The beginning was a little confusing because of all the characters but stick with it, you’ll catch up quickly. Also, I liked the ending - I am a big fan of stories that tie up loose ends.

Money wasted

My god. I’ve bought some bad audibles, some dumb stories, and some rambling incoherent plot-hole nonsense, but this one takes the cake. It ha no story, nothing , just a collection of whiny women and soils stupid woman who may or may not have done something in the past. We’ll, whatever it was, it sure as hell was not Interesting. This book just plain sucks. It’s barely palpable as one of the bed-time stories, as you’ll lose interest even before falling asleep. It’s miserable. It’s horrible. It’s perhaps the worst tripe I’ve ever had the misfortune to purchase. Geez 0.0 stars. And a big fat thumbs down!

Not worth the credit

This is more a cat and mouse story rather than twisty/psychological thriller. No surprise plot twist and the ending was predictable. Not worth the credit.

What did I just listen to?

I felt like this story was full of underdeveloped characters, a poorly organized plot, and a bunch of after thoughts. The main character has to have multiple personality disorder because she is different throughout the entire story, I don’t even think I liked her, and I definitely didn’t like her friends or SO.
