Left Me Feeling Unsatisfied

First of all, Katie Villa’s narration performances ALWAYS deliver! Her voice is soothing and wonderful, and her narration of this book was excellent! Additionally, I love Shalini Boland’s work, and I have listened to pretty much all of her work that is available on Audible. That being said, this particular book left something to be desired. I was shocked when the book was over! I kept thinking that some chapters were accidentally skipped or something, but I was wrong. It felt like the story was rushed and the ending was rushed as well. There could have been much more character development and backstory in this book that was completely left out. Typically, with Shalini Boland’s work, I am left feeling fulfilled and satisfied, but this book left me feeling underwhelmed.

Aggravating

It’s hard to dislike a book, and I’m easily entertained. However, I’m left frustrated and aggravated with myself for continuing to listen. I wanted to slap the mealy-mouthed heroine (if that’s what you want to call her). She jumps in and out of relationships like I change my underwear. Shallow characters and weak, unbelievable story line. Narrator did well though. Kept me listening.

Okay this book was good! Great performance from the narrator! Overall excellent, but the ending could have used some work!

Reparative

The storyline was good and it had a backbone but it got very repetitive. Performance was great!

Slow

I found this to be very slow and quite predictable. The twist at the end saved it, but it wasn’t as big of a shocker as I was anticipating.
