Publisher's Summary

The internationally best-selling author of The Last Mrs. Parrish follows that success with an addictive novel filled with shocking twists about the aftermath of a brutal high-society murder.

Dr. Kate English has it all. Not only is she the heiress to a large fortune; she has a gorgeous husband and daughter, a high-flying career, and a beautiful home anyone would envy.

But all that changes the night Kate’s mother, Lily, is found dead, brutally murdered in her own home. Heartbroken and distraught, Kate reaches out to her estranged best friend, Blaire Barrington, who rushes to her side for the funeral, where the years of distance between them are forgotten in a moment.

That evening, Kate’s grief turns to horror when she receives an anonymous text: You think you’re sad now, just wait. By the time I’m finished with you, you’ll wish you had been buried today. More than ever, Kate needs her old friend’s help.

Once Blaire decides to take the investigation into her own hands, it becomes clear that all is not as it seems in Baltimore high society. As infidelity, lies, and betrayals come to light and tensions rise to a boiling point, she begins to alienate Kate’s friends and relatives with her relentless, accusatory questions, as she tries to find Lily’s killer. The murderer could be anyone - friend, neighbor, loved one. But whoever it is, it’s clear Kate is next on their list....

In The Last Time I Saw You, Liv Constantine takes the lightning pace of The Last Mrs. Parrish and raises the stakes, creating an exquisitely tension-filled and absorbing tale of psychological suspense in which innocent lives - and one woman’s sanity - hang in the balance.

Disappointed!

I was so looking forward to this book after Mrs Parrish. However, the twists were boring and the characters seemed flat. The story was unbelievable. I don't consider every novel that has a murder in it a thriller. Maybe under another classification, expectations wouldn't have been so high but it must be hard to top a book like Parrish. I will look forward to the next one by this author either way.

Finished in Two Days

I enjoyed this audiobook very much. I loved the first book written by Liv Constantine (“The Last Mrs. Parrish”) so I was excited to see that a new book was released earlier this month. Towards the middle, I could see where this story was going and wish that there were a few more twists. Otherwise, I think it was good listen.

The Last Time I Saw You

So many twists and turns! Just when you think you have it figured out another bomb is dropped. Well-developed characters ensure plot stays exciting and unpredictable. Well done Constantine sisters. Looking forward to number 3.

Really GOOD...

Admittedly NOT as good as Mrs. Parrish...because that is about the best book EVER...but this book does not disappoint. The characters are very real, very deep. It kept me guessing and I listened until it was over because I couldn't wait to find out what happens! I hope Liv Constantine keeps writing...I love her books!!

Intriguing and suspenseful!

Wonderfully written tale of murder, love, mystery, and madness. Superb character development and multifaceted storyline. Julia Whelan never disappoints with her charismatic and warm narration. A great listen!

Meh.

Julia Whelan is magnificent, usual. Even her performance can’t save this story. I found it entertaining at times, but overall, it was tedious. I saw it through to the end. I found major elements of the story implausible. I was happy when it was over. In contrast, I thought “The Last Mrs. Parrish” was a tasty read.

Doesn't live up to her last Novel

After loving The Last Mrs. Parrish I had high hopes for this new book. It did not live up to my expectations.

Don't waste your time, bland and too boring to finish

I couldn't put her last book down, so I quickly purchased this one and for hours tried to like this. Long whining descriptions of boring characters with boring lives, read in a boring tone. Easy to forget this is a murder mystery, now I understand why the masses despise trust fund babies and it's not jealousy, rather imagined problems of the truly bland.

good story, not totally believable

The narration was great! The story kept me interested but it could have been so much better. There was a disconnect between the lifestyle of the characters and the way they were portrayed.
