Feeling so much better
For as long as I can remember weight management has been my Achilles' heel. I've done the fad diets, exercise routines, cleanses, etc. The problem is, none of those were going to last because I was doing them without fixing my root issue which was my relationship with food. The cycle of losing weight only to regain it leaves you exhausted, demotivated, and feeling defeated. One thing I had not tried yet was hypnosis so I was very happy when I found this book.
The book takes a completely different approach to weight loss - rewiring the mind through self-hypnosis, guided meditations, and affirmations. At first, I was skeptical because I didn't understand how my thoughts could change based on a book. I was worried that I couldn't change my mindset and my beliefs about my relationship with food. Instead, I found the content to be extremely engaging as each session targeted specific aspects of weight management, from mindful eating to silencing the ever so judgmental inner critic.
I have now added the affirmations to my morning routine to ensure my day starts out with my head in the right place which I found helps me make sure I get my day planned out appropriately including my meals and snacks. I am feeling much lighter and my mind is feeling more open and ready to take on the changes I am implementing. Without cleaning out all the clutter in my mind, I realized I wasn't going to be able to move forward and actually be able to implement these strategies.
Thank you to this author for this book and the narrator for ensuring all the information the author provides is done so in a genuine, soothing tone.
