I learned the first step and confused by the rest
I got the first phase, awareness. But the other 4 phases have got me feeling like I don’t know what to do after becoming aware of my tension. A lot of this seems like useless rambling, like just get to the point and tell me what to do.

There are key bits of info
The audio experience feels like you're listening to something written by AI and the reader sounds as though they are trying to create a calm affect but it's distractingly flat and robotic. Little to no inflection and far slower than it needs to be. It's not fixed by speeding it up, as that creates an awkward experience.
The content has key bits of information that do help. It is buried in fluff.
I am indeed following the plan, as I believe it has been working. I do think it could be a good start to this topic. The problem, I suppose is the way the information was presented (the voice, the AI-sentence structures, the fluff).
I skimmed the book for main ideas first then re-read it a few times to gain more. Had to skip the parts that were re-traumatizing as I already have deep knowledge of trauma and how it can affect you.

Very good book
I'm still reading this book but until now I had many "Aha"!! moments where I understood what's the root of my desregulation, it has scientific facts, test and techniques to adress it. The content is good and the pace of the reader is understandable and consistent.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants real tools and deeper knowledge.

Very informative. Excellent narration
I thought this was a great overview of the nervous system and appreciated the practical strategies she offered to help restore your system back to health. I also purchased the print version so I would have the various worksheets. The narrator was excellent and easy to listen to.

An amazing book
Being an extremely sensitive person and a person with a highly dysregulated nervous system this book is helping me find ways to feel safe again in my body. The voice of the narrator is very soothing and I keep wanting to read and learn more. Thanks to Dr Linnea for helping us heal

separating the audio by chapters
the content is great. yet I can't go back to individual chapters. it's just one big audio file. Why would Audible accept such a singular format? again helpful content and concepts. As a highly sensitive person who gets hung up on details, not being able to replay the chapter by selecting it makes it quite difficult to study.
