Publisher's Summary

"I'm going to die a hundred years before I was born...."

The handwritten note was in a dusty trunk that sat in a cave untouched for 150 years. What did the words mean? When journalist Ray Burton finds the trunk near the Arizona ghost town of Hollow Rock, his life changes in an instant.

Something in the trunk shouldn’t be there.

This begins a dangerous journey of discovery bordering on the impossible. A discovery that will affect the past, the present, and the future.

This is painful to listen to

I am in the middle of the book right now. I am desperately trying to finish it, but the narrator is horrible. The only reason I’m giving it three stars is because the story and writing are good. The narrator sounds like he’s reading a story not narrating it, if that makes sense. At times monotone at other times choppy. It is hard to listen to.

statement of plot convenience

The performance I found to be robotic....I actually thought it was auto-read by a bot until I checked later that it was a person. The plot I found to be simplistic. I was annoyed by the main character making many statements of plot convenience.

Nice...But not all that

A different approach to the time travel novels, but not particularly exciting or riveting.

A really interesting time travel story!

I really enjoyed this book and how they made time travel come to life. it isn't with a ridiculous theory but a really believable idea of how it could happen. The characters were very easy to see as real with all their flaws. The government is also involved so that helps with the authenticity, I mean how much do they hide from us? I think you will enjoy this interesting and exciting story!
I received a free code for this book from Audiobooks Unleashed to listen to on Audible. This review is my own honest opinion.

Awful

The worst book I have ever listened to on Audible (over 200)
Poor story development, characters suddenly appearing to allow story to progress.
Very clunky and unrealistic dialogue.
Hard to care about or empathise with main character.
No sense of anticipation felt by this reader who just trudged to a disappointing end.
Also poorly read

Entertaining old school sci-fi

Reminiscent of Heinlein's "The door into summer" . A simple story (by time travel standards) well told. Narrator was very good despite the attempted Brit - "ish" accents. Very enjoyable.
