Good story concept.

i really like the story. Problem was there was a lot of low quality dialog. Also, as each books went on, the main concept of time travel got less. I still liked the story so I bought the next 3 books. More to follow.

Loved it!

I love time travel stories and I can't wait until I get the next credit to continue listening. The narrator is great and reminds me of Stephen King audible books which I have listened to almost all of them.

Great series!

I wasn’t sure how this series would go based on reviews, but I decided to give it a try. I’m sure glad I did. The descriptions of the past made me feel like I was really there, especially back in the 1990’s. The characters were well thought out and I became invested in them almost immediately. If you like time travel stories, give this one a shot.

Ok book, but rotten production quality

I liked the concept, author is a good storyteller. Narrator also good... but, the production was terrible. It sounded as if narrator had gone through the book and corrected mistakes or passages the weren't happy with. I'm sure that's normal with a book, the problem was that the sound in these corrected or bettered passages was tinny and of a much lower quality than the rest of the book. It didn't ruin the book, but the otherwise good narrator's performance was marred by these technical issues.

It's like they forgot they could travel in time.

So many plot holes. It's a time travel story that seems to think time travel is the most unimportant part of the story.
The main character is a Momma's boy middle aged alcoholic, (in denial) that everyone seems to think is the hero though he does nothing heroic. I got through the 3 book box set but I'm pretty sure I wont be doing book 4.
Narration was decent.

Time travel series

I really liked this story line and recommend all 6 books. The author commented that if you like Stephen King you will enjoy these books and he is surely right about that. The narrator does a superb job as well

Too Dark

I love time travel books. They are my "go to" many times when browsing. I wanted to really like this series as the boxset is 25 hours and I drive many hours on the road. This series left me too worried and anxious about what was going to happen to the main character, and depressing because sad things kept happening. I don't always have to have "happily ever after" books, but this one left me totally down in the dumps after the first book was over. I started the second book and decided I had to return the title and get another more uplifting book to read. The narrator wasn't bad like others stated, I just didn't like the dark content and the story never seemed to make me feel happy or satisfied about anything.

Good world building

The story and world building are prettt good, but the author pushes his politics into the story overtly. His character claims that there are “more mass shootings than every other country combined”, which is far from the truth. He’s using the metric of the left which counts ANY shooting involving more than 2 people, including crimes and gang shootings. He also alludes to a future where there’s a “dictatorship, that censors anything negative about the second amendment”. Clearly claiming a “conservative evil regime”. That’s not how dictatorships work, and he’s clearly using buzzwords and extreme ideology to imply gun owners are fascists. This is only two of many examples of political preaching in the book. The performance is little jenky, in that many lines are clearly re-recordings that sound like they were done on a hand-held recorder.

Great Story, but...

Wonderful story with several unexpected plot twists. It was masterfully narrated, as well. The author created a president of a dystopian USA in the distant future, who was clearly modeled after Trump, right down to the black suit and red tie. This will delight some listeners as it will disgust others. I would have chosen a less partisan approach so as not to alienate my listeners, but that's the fragmented world in which we live. Still , I enjoyed books 1-3, and I look forward to the rest of the series.

Great story with a fantastic current twist. You really don’t see all this coming. I hope there are more
