Loved!

Time travel is a favorite of mine, and this did not disappoint.
I listened to the audiobook version and the narrator did a fantastic job of bringing the story to life.

a great time travel story

I was given this book for an honest review.

Jo, a modern girl is out horse back riding with her friends when she is caught up in a twister and sent back in time, over 100 years. Of course, she's not quite aware what has happened, and when she is attacked by 3 men, she is saved by 2 others.. Sawyer and Kitty.. Sawyer and Kitty are on their way back to Sawyers home after staying away for 7 years. They both served in the Civil War and it was very hard on them.

They find Jo and help her and take her with them.. after explaining to her it's the year 1872, Jo has a bit of a hard time adjusting, but what an opportunity to actually live in the old west. Eventually Jo adapts and falls in love with Sawyer.

This is a good story with some twists and turn.. the beginning of the 19th century.. I would recommend this nice clean story.

Good si-fi love story

This is a true western love story with a little bit of sci-fi thrown in! It is well written and enjoyable the characters are well relatable. Pretty much a cookie cutter romance novel with a slight twist but enjoyable nonetheless.

A complete was of time-"travel"

It bothers me seeing a rating so high for a book like this as it gives me more and more reason to believe the audible rating system is a complete lie.

The story is pointless. The time-traveling lead character has absolutely no reason or purpose to have been from the future. She made no attempts to improve her life with the knowledge she brought back with her. She may as well have been just a real smart woman from the current time. Additionally there was no conflict or antagonist interaction in this story. It's been referred to as an Old Time Western story, but I would imagine there were more exciting times than this dull story line.

Take the time-travel bit out of this story, and add an actual conflict in the story between the lead characters and the antagonist and you may have a semi good story, otherwise if you like time-travel stories I highly suggest you miss this one. I wish I had.

Old fashion western

This was a great survival story of a woman who travels back in time 150 years. She manages to create a wonderful life filled with love and joy. A great listen leaving you wanting to continue the story in the end!

Meh…

I found the writing very basic. Kind of like “see spot. See spot run” spot is having a good time” As well, there was little depth of the characters and very little depth of story. The narrator did not help - he sounded like a very old man. There was little difference between male and female voices, so the women sounded like old men! Lol. The story may have been better with a better narrator. Overall, it was a Big disappointment and waste of a credit.

Great Time Travel Romance

I'm not a big western fan but I do really like time travel so I gave this book a chance. I LOVED everything about this story. The small details from past to future and vice versa were great. I loved the ending as well.

Lost in Time

I enjoyed this book.Joe is thrown back in time by a tornado. It is hard to get used to,but she does.It is full of action and adventure with just the right touch of romance. Francis G Kearney was a good narrator.Sometimes her words were stilted, but it was fine.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Old Times

Francis G Kearney voice was just right for this Old Fashion Western. I enjoyed listening to him.

I loved the way we first saw Jo and Sawyer, in their time lines.
When Jo is sent back in time and saved my by Sawyer and his friend Kitty (William)
I felt as if I could smell the old west and the descriptions of the baths..in the bath house...
This book should the hard times and also loyalty of friends. Also how a soldier in any time , can suffer the horror of war.
We have a great plot and sub plot and wonderful descriptions of characters .
Teeth cleaning , baths and dead peoples clothes, will make you count your blessings.

So enjoyed.
