Publisher's summary

The hunt for the next Wishmaster has begun.

The Wish Curse Palace, the largest criminal organization in the multiverse, seeks its new successor. On Shane's eighteenth birthday, his dormant Wishmaster bloodline awakens, making him a potential heir to the organization's legacy.

In Unity territory, power and public perception go hand-in-hand, empowering an elite class of superheroes and supervillains. Shane must progress through the ranks of heroes to harness his wish-granting abilities. With the help of newfound allies, Shane must showcase acts of heroism to climb the hierarchy, all while concealing the true source of his powers.

Shane's first major challenge? Unmask the high-profile murderer preying on high-tier heroes, each with cultivation levels beyond his own.

In this high-stakes game of secrets and deception, every move could be his last.

A weak to strong protagonist with limitless potential in a futuristic LitRPG setting featuring a crunchy, unique progression system. Perfect for fans of The Path of Ascension and He Who Fights with Monsters.

Amazing Story with new Cultivation Style!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a lot of fun to see the concept of cultivation as applied to people with new super powers.

The book was fun and had just the right amount of realism, fantasy and stats.

Really good story build make me what the next book

I do have to say the build up to the book was great but the climax of the book was way to short it was like here the biggest part of the book and 2 seconds later already over I just wanted more from it but I will give the next book a try and hopefully it was just a one time thing or a larger build up

refreshing

Normally litrpgs follow the same path. All protagonists have the same feeling and are very predictable.

while I can't say that this book is not doing that, it new take is thrilling to read

100% recommend

This book has it all. The plot is intriguing, the characters fun and realistic, and they don't have stupid mess ups for the sake of plot. However, the best part about this book is that it is original. I have read a lot of cyberpunk, fantasy, cultivation, and litrpg, but this setting truly feels unique.

Solid book

Author does a great job with character introductions. Next book should have a slight jump.

An Engaging "Supers" Story

My first introduction of Malcolm Tent and am pleased to have made the acquaintance. He starts off providing an ample amount of backstory for the MC along with an interesting Wish Granter class. Even more so, his entry into the story quickly makes him an impactful character. Another interesting aspect of his class is that it is quasi-mercantile based, i.e., the wish must be bartered with something of equal value, be it treasure, a wisher's skill, &c. There is an element of brutal and bloody intrigue and also some female relationship encounters with 2nd tier characters with bonds being made over tragic familial circumstances with each of them.

The author ends the book evenly without any major cliff-hanger but in a way that insures I will continue the series.

Neil Hellegers is one of my top tier narrators, so much so, that when looking for another book from my last, I found this author and book while using Neil Hellegers as an Audible search term.
