This Story Is Sexy

Publisher's Summary

Racer McKay is a broody bastard.

From the moment I met him, he's been rude, irritable, and unbearable. And worse? He's broke.

A contractor working to remodel my parents pool house for extra cash, he stomps around in those clunky construction boots with his tool belt wrapped around his narrow waist, and a chip on his shoulder.

Racer McKay is also infuriatingly...sexy as hell. I want to take that pencil tucked behind his ear, and draw lazy lines slowly up and down his body all the while wanting to strangle him at the same time. We try to stay out of each other's way...that is, until I have no other option but to ask for his help. But what I don't realize is he needs me just as much as I need him. I have money he's desperate for, and he holds the key to making my dreams come true.

Our pranks turn from sarcastic banter, to sexual tension and lust-filled glances. Bickering matches quickly morph into slow burn moments. We're hot, we're cold. We push and pull. I need him, I don't want him.

We're on the verge of combusting with an agreement dangling dangerously between us. Neither one of us can afford to lose one another and yet, we're finding it quite hard to decipher the line that rests between love and hate.

Contains mature themes.

Narration 😣

Narration was horrible. Couldn't get past the first 15 minutes. Hopefully it will be easier to read.

The voice !!

Such a great story but the outer voice for the male lead is horrendous! He sounds like a rat or a bad attempt at a 1940s mob boss. I want to listen and I keep trying. Like now. I am trying as I write this. Rudy has a great voice and the inner monologue is wonderful. But omg why oh why is he making his voice racer so silly!!!! Meghan talk to Rudy and tell him to re do this book with his regular voice !’n please !!!’

couldn't not start or ginish

this was not the narraratos best work. Muffy was ok but the guy was pretty bad. not sure why Racers voice had to sound so nasally. I'll have to read this instead of the audio.

Warning

The narrator’s voice for Racer is TERRIBLE! Nasally and irritating. They need a different male narrator.

Okay story

After making almost through the whole book with his horrible voice. Cause the story isn’t bad. But at some point you think he’s gonna grow up a little with the way he talks. I’d be scared to take him anywhere. Spoiler. After they have sex he literally tells her friend and bother everything they did. Like in detail. This guy is a idiot.

Couldn’t stand Rudy Sanda narrative. Had to stop within the first hour. Sorry for the poor review.

Male narrator is such a let down

I have read every one of Meghan’s books and adore every single one of them. Racer’s story is one of my favorites so I was excited to listen to it but I couldn’t get more than 20 min in. The male narrators “normal” voice is fine, but his character voice for Racer? What the ever-loving-heck! It’s so terrible and cringe worthy. Like a bad 1920’s mobster movie. I’m so sorry Meghan, I hate leaving a bad review but I just couldn’t get past his voice. I love the story though! I absolutely recommend READING this book.

Wow

Truly loved Racer. His strength and belief in the values that he was taught and grew up with. Values that are so important. Loved Georgie for standing up for herself and believing in the two of them. Narration was awesome too.

Worst Narrator I've ever heard

This would have to be the worst male narrator I have ever heard and I have a library of 250 books, so disappointed as I would have loved to have listened to this book, his voice was cartoon like and childish, put up with it for half an hour and just couldn't go on, the Author must be horrified at how her story has been treated with such disrespect, horrendous attempt, sounded like a hyena with sinus problems and thats being kind, it needs to be recorded again ASAP
