I loved this book. It is one of the best audiobooks I’ve listened to. Simple, short, but packed with deep wisdom and practical, useful, simple practices that I’ve been able to incorporate into my life easily. I particularly appreciate how the author merges mindfulness and somatic experiencing. I find some mindfulness practices to be disembodied or dissociative, but this book illustrates how these practices can be utilized to connect more deeply with the body and listen to its wisdom.
I look forward to utilizing these practices and to listening to this book again.

Wow, I could fall asleep to her voice. She makes mindfulness and meditation easy and soothing. This is definitely a "book" I'll be coming back to again and again.

I'm not sure why other reviewers are being so harsh. I really enjoyed the book and the narration. Usually, I avoid books that are narrated by the author, but Ms. Cameron has a beautiful voice, good lilt, and excellent pacing (although, if you're not going to do the exercises in the book, then maybe listen to this in 2x speed). Her examples of stress and judgement she found in her own life were quite relatable and easily mapped to the methods of dealing with them expressed in her book. A lot of the reviews say this is just a rehash of others' works, but if you haven't read others' works and want a very compact (well, as compact as you can get in 4 hours), then this is a wonderful book. I loved her meditation exercises. I don't devour self-help or meditation books, so having this one book was delightful. I will go back numerous times and go through the meditation exercises again with her. I don't think you'll regret getting this book, unless you believe you are an expert at meditation and self-love already.

I liked how the chapters were broken out. In each chapter the author introduced a concept and then gave the listener an exercise to put the concept in practice. I also liked the content, the ideas were helpful to me. I’d recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their well being and/or who wants to better understand themselves and others. The narrator’s voice was pleasant, very compassionate.

I would recommend this book for anyone who is at a crossroads after experiencing multiple setbacks and traumas in their lives. The more information one has to learn how to cope with struggles of living the stronger one can be when life throws us the unexpected.

This book is insightful, relatable, applicable, and life changing. I enjoyed listening to it and am interested in more material from her. it was very well put together and worth the read.

I feel fairly good about practicing along with a few exercises, however I will have to revisit when I am ready to get specific about them. Not bad for the price!
