Publisher's Summary

After the death of her father - Pa Salt, an elusive billionaire who adopted his six daughters from around the globe - Tiggy D’Aplièse, trusting her instincts, moves to the remote wilds of Scotland. There she takes a job doing what she loves: caring for animals on the vast and isolated Kinnaird estate, employed by the enigmatic and troubled Laird, Charlie Kinnaird.

Her decision alters her future irrevocably when Chilly, an ancient gypsy who has lived for years on the estate, tells her that not only does she possess a sixth sense, passed down from her ancestors, but it was foretold long ago that he would be the one to send her back home to Granada in Spain.

In the shadow of the magnificent Alhambra, Tiggy discovers her connection to the fabled gypsy community of Sacromonte, who were forced to flee their homes during the civil war, and to ‘La Candela’, the greatest flamenco dancer of her generation. From the Scottish Highlands and Spain to South America and New York, Tiggy follows the trail back to her own exotic but complex past. And under the watchful eye of a gifted gypsy bruja, she begins to embrace her own talent for healing.

But when fate takes a hand, Tiggy must decide whether to stay with her newfound family or return to Kinnaird and Charlie....

Narrator has a stuffy nose!

Granted, I’m only 5 Chapters in, and not only is the story dreadfully slow to pick up...the WORST part is listening to the narrator. I feel I need to give her a decongestant or Afrin! Very annoying, especially since I’ll have to listen to it for another 17 more hours!!!!
I love this series so far, and was looking forward to this release...very underwhelming so far!

Eager anticipation disappointed

Sadly not up to the standard of the series. Predictable, plot too simple, very disappointing.

Not what I expected. Took a few chapters

Was hard to get in to and understand the accent at first. But pretty good story line after a bit.

Lovely story, challenging narration.

I loved the story, but was put off by the narrator, especially her renderings of dialog. I was particularly bothered by her mispronunciation of Spanish words and names. For a story largely set is Spain, the least that could be expected in an audiobook is linguistic authentencity.

Another Standout of the Series

I really adored the latest installment in The Seven Sister series. Tiggy was an easy character to root for and didn't require as much redemption as say Cece from The Pearl Sister with her brashness. I liked how in contrast to Cece, Tiggy was sweet and thoughtful which was refreshing. Although she was not without her flaws that were worked through during the novel. Overall, Tiggy's story is now one of my favorites along with Star and Maia's.

I did find Lucia a bit maddening and much preferred the present storyline to the past. Luckily, Maria in the past balanced out the storyline and made it easier to read. Riley really did a great job though presenting a realistic portrayal for what someone like Lucia might behave like given her upbringing.

I am as intrigued as ever to find out more about Pa Salt. This novel definitely dropped a few new clues as to who he may be and what might have occurred. Riley has done spectacular work building up the mystery and I eagerly await Electra's story.

Another Great Book

Another great book in The Seven Sisters series, and this time, Ms. Riley got a GREAT narrator!! I've been so disappointed in the ones she's had in the past. They took away from the story. A truly satisfying listen.

Loved the book, a bit disappointed in narrator

The narrator did very will except with Spanish and New York accents. I found that disappointing and distracting.

Disappointed

I was so looking forward to this book, but was disappointed.
I struggled with the past story from Spain, and the hours of information about the dancing, and so many characters, which in my opinion were unnecessary. The present day story was more interesting.

Truly terrible accents!

I've listened to all of the Lucinda Riley books and was so looking forward to this, but the narration is so bad that I'm just about to return it for a credit refund. So disappointed 😞

Brilliant!

Oh my goodness me what a story. I couldn’t stop listening and found the way people lived in Spain years ago so interesting and read so well by Imogen Wilde - so many different accents! Please, Lucinda Riley, continue to write to tell how the other sister’s lives began. It was wonderful.l

They get better and better.

Every sister I listen to I think this is my favourite. Really enjoyed this book and Imogen Wilde the best narrator of the sisters so far. Can’t wait for the next.
