Christmas. A time for family, friends . . . and enemies?

Nicola is returning to her family home for the Christmas holidays to spend the festive season with her loved ones for the first time in several years. Forced to confront several demons from her past, Nicola struggles through Christmas Day. But as difficult as it is to face the past, nothing is as hard as what happens next. It seems that Barbara has been waiting for Nicola to return home after all these years. Now she has, things will never be the same again . . .

Not one of his better books

Extremely slow to start. Once the dinner begins, things pick up but still don’t boil for some time. All in all a disturbing read with references to past sexual abuse for those who may need that warning. For me, not one of Hurst’s better books.

Just enough

This book gave just enough information and details to paint a picture without having detailed descriptions. It was carefully wrapped up with the perfect ending.

I had to practically listen to this whole book before anything start happening. For a 40 year old she sure worst than Tony. I hope this was your first book because this is an unreasonable and idiotic story so not believable.

Keeping such a secret at that age and a health professional beside that. 🤦‍♀️

Horrible Monsters

I really liked the ending with a twist! Happy justice! A great story overall about the worst possible subject/ scenarios.
