Great detective story

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. The plot was woven very well bringing all the different characters in. I am looking forward to the next one.

Another absolutely fantastic crime thriller

If you love crime fiction but have never read any of the novels featuring Harry Bosch, then 'The Lost Lady of Limone' would be a good one with which to start as you do not need to know much about Claire Nicholls's novel. But be aware that if you enjoy it then you'll probably want to listen to the series and then you'll discover how addictive they are!

Likeable MC

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and all opinions expressed herein are my own.

I was excited about this book based on the blurb - it's a travelogue through Italy wrapped up in a cozy. Unfortunately, the mystery does not occur until the last 1/3 of the book, with the rest of the book being the MC trying to convince everyone there is a mystery and for the police to be called to wrap everything up. I did like the main character enough that I will look at the next book in the series.

Enjoyable Mystery, a treat to listen to!

I enjoyed this cozy mystery set against a luscious Italian backdrop! The mystery creeps up on you against the charm of the setting, getting to know the characters, and the splashes of humor entwined in the storytelling, which all add up to an enjoyable mystery well worth your time.

I would be remiss if I did not say, BEWARE, Audiobook Buyer! — the first time I settled down to listen to this book I dozed off to sleep! The narrator, Claire Nicholls, has a lovely, calming, lilting voice that’s a perfect match for the story. I gave it a thorough re-listen when I was more awake (to be fair, the first time I started listening was at the end of a long day), and was very glad I did — It’s a gem of an audiobook and I really enjoyed the story and the way the narrator voiced all of the characters.

Note: I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review.

Enjoyable

This is the first book I've listened to by this author. I really enjoyed it! The narrator did a wonderful job also. I look forward to listening to the other books in this series.

Captivating

Kim is on another adventure that keeps us engaged in this story.

Claire Nicholls brings the characters to life with her narrating.

Bookjacked!

This audiobook grabbed me and held me captive until the very end. There were so many red herrings, some so subtle that I didn't recognize them except in retrospect! It kept me guessing right up to the surprise reveal. Kim is a stubborn, bullheaded protagonist that I could get hooked on.

Fun with the tour guide!

Italy, tourist-town, amateur-sleuth, cosy-mystery, situational-humor, verbal-humor

Too much fun! Kim is a young woman who has the same last name as the owner of the tour agency she has come to work for in Italy despite not speaking the language. Taking advantage of a misunderstanding, she passes for the owner's daughter as her own father does indeed have his own small business back in England. As tour guide to oldsters, she embellishes the tours with rather fanciful tales of the sights and does get into some minor trouble. Then, she notices that one of the couples has made a significant change. The wife is wearing the same bright yellow garments but is younger and taller! Let the sleuthing begin!
Claire Nicholls is great as the perky teen and the other characters as well.

Awesome

I am not a huge fan of mysteries so I listened to this book. It is not overly graphic but you get the idea because the words paint such a picture. It was gripping and easy to not put down. I loved it and look forward to the next books.

Not my cup of tea

The Lost Lady of Limone
: KT Ashbourne

I've tried listening to this twice now, and unfortunatly it did not hold my attention. It maybe that I'm just not in the right mindset for it. The story line seems interesting. Maybe on another day I might enjoy it more.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Claire Nicholls has a lovely voice.
