Publisher's summary

Josiah Joseph is trouble - at least that’s what everyone says about him.

Jade Taylor can’t help but to agree with their sentiments. He’s a hotheaded football player and one of her most lackluster students. She’s a young mother and a laser-focused teacher’s assistant, counting the days until graduation.

After the two cross paths at a wild party, Jade makes a discovery about the volatile quarterback that sends her on a quest to understand who Josiah Joseph is and why he’s suddenly become enamored with her.

the endgame

Another great job by this author. The first book in this series was good I think this one was even better. Narration was as good.

Thoroughly enjoying This Series!

I enjoyed book one but I think this one was even better! The series is my first time reading anything from this author but will not be my last. The writing was excellent! The character development and storyline was intriguing and left you wanting more. Both narrators did an excellent job. Looking forward to book 3 of the series?

Flawless

We are all full of flaws but real love can overlook them. This one had a lot of raw emotions. I was rooting for the the whole time.

Josiah

I fell in love with Josiah when I read The end game a few months back but hearing just amplifies it. The performers were excellent with bringing the story to life!

Love Josiah ❤

This story was good but that damn Jade got on my nerves 😒. I was almost ready to give up because of her stupidity. Her negative mother was the worst. But overall, I enjoyed the book and am looking forward to the next one in this series 😊

He is NOT Atlanta

I loved the book, and the entire story. But the strength and focus of JOJO being an Atlanta native did NOT translate at all with the chosen Benjamin Charles. The lack of drawl and confidence GA boys are known for leaves much to be desired. Other than that, it was a pleasurable listening experience.

Never Judge a Book!

If I had to sum up Josiah and Jade’s relationship it’d be don’t judge a book by its cover. I absolutely loved everything about Josiah; he really did it for me and his patience, maturity, and emotional intelligence are impressive for someone so young who didn’t have the sweetest upbringing.

Jade was slow to catch on, but I could understand her reluctance considering her past relationships and familial influence, so while sometimes I wanted to shake her, I got it and I got her. Then sprinkle in cameos from our first faves of the Sun Series and this story was complete! Complete in that if I didn’t ever get an update on my boothang, I’d be okay with where we left them and it’s not often I feel like that after a book.

Loved!

Whew! Based on Dominic’s experience in book one I knew this would be rough. Especially since I knew Diane would be featured, since this was Jo’s story and that is his mom. From book 1, I wasn’t feeling her.

And each time this sweet man was described as broken, I thought of Diane and how she assisted in his brokenness. I just don’t like her.

While this story is about Jo and Jade’s relationship. It also about the impact unhealed people have on others. Terry is hurt and she couldn’t see past her hurt. Which is why she was constantly projecting her views on Jade. And Diane doesn’t know how to love and guide. She shamed and humiliated.

I loved this story and the writing. It was so layered. Even the smallest nuisances of someone living in that poverty mind space. I can’t wait to read more about these people, next up… Mo!

Oh and shout out to Jade for gathering the Coach together.
