Publisher's summary

Endings.

Everyone and everything has one. They’re inevitable, right?

At twenty-one, Ason ‘Ace’ Williams Jr. knows all about inevitable endings. He’s formerly famous, a popular rapper’s muse, the son of a three-time NBA champ, and a little… complicated. After a disturbing scandal and loss rocks his world, he’s left to deal with both in a city that doesn’t quite feel like home. It’s a place filled with old family friends he’s never met, reminders of all the endings he’s had to endure, and even worse—he’s stuck there after his dad takes a job no one ever imagined him taking.

Eighteen-year-old Lourdes ‘Phat’ Hines doesn’t think about endings because she’s too busy dealing with the now. She’s a part-time college student, full-time caretaker, and worst of all, a lowly freshman on a campus she doesn’t have time to get accustomed to. After a tense run-in with a boy she’s sure she’s supposed to hate, the endings she’s been running from catch up to her at full speed and she faces a question he seems to have the answer to: What happens at the end of it all?

JOURNEY TO PLANET ACE

Rae Lyse knows how to tell a story. She captures your attention from the first page, and takes you on a journey. While love is the foundation of the story, it is intertwined with flaws, weakness, life lessons, strength and endurance. Ace’s struggles, growth and redemption are documented in his relationships and love of basketball. His story is gritty, complex, and controversial, and I loved EVERY minute. I also enjoyed the baby’s growth to a “little lady’s”. Narration is on point. Shout out to the dream team, Jakobi Diem and Wesleigh Siobhan, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ at the end of it all! #AsonandLourdes❤️

My little lady…

Often, many women have to step up and take care of everything. To the point where “ion need nobody’s help” takes over. When true masculinity is met, we’re almost as hard as him! But the right masculine energy will allow time to nurture, teach, and make a safe space for us to be naturally feminine. 😮‍💨 In other words … this was refreshing! I loved it!!❤️

Best Book I’ve Heard In Awhile

I was expecting more of a college type drama but this was deep, emotional, heartfelt. I really enjoyed this book and I’m going to look for more from this author!

At the end of it all, is the beginning.

I enjoyed the book. It was a testament of “life happens”. It shows how evil some people can really be. I’m satisfied with the results. The narrators are my favorites. ❤️

great story

this book was a great read from begining to end. very detailed but not repetitive or drawn out. their love story wad very relatable. it was mature beyond his age. sometimes I felt like he was 10 yrs older than her not 3. I wish more moms prepared their young men for the 'little ladies' in the world they will encounter
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

A New Favorite

As long as this book was I STILL didn't want it to end. Ace and Lordes had me completely sucked in. My heart hurt for Ace, dealing with so much loss and his willingness to give so freely just because. Then I sniggled and giggled at Ace and Lordes Twitter banter and conversations while on Planet Ace. This is a young adult storyline, but I am a fully adult married mother of two and I really enjoyed every minute of it. I have read/listened to a few books from this author but this is definitely my favorite. The narrators were alsp top tier.
