Publisher's summary

After the razing of Prospero, Magnus the Red spirited the Thousand Sons away to the aptly unnamed Planet of the Sorcerers, deep within the Eye of Terror.

Removed from the concerns of the galaxy at large and regarding the Warmaster's unfolding Heresy with cold detachment, he has dedicated his hollow existence to the preservation of all the knowledge once held in the great libraries of Tizca, should mankind ever seek such enlightenment again. But his sons can see the change in their primarch - he is a broken soul whose mind and memories are slipping away into the tumult of the warp.

Only by returning to the scenes of his greatest triumphs and tragedies can they hope to restore him and allow the Crimson King to be crowned anew by the Ruinous Powers

fantastic narration

story was pretty good, even though convoluted. some more backstory on the imperial forces would've been welcome. Keeble is fantastic as always!

Questions were answered!

This was an awesome story to listened to! I always wondered at the fates of the 3 remembrancers back in The Thousand Sons and I thought we will never see them again, but to my surprise, they played a very vital role in this story!

It's ok if you like Thousand Sons

The story is kind of meh, a lot of the storyline is very fragmented and you get lost between parts. Sometimes I would not understand what was going on.
If they had start with them bringing Magnus back, then it would be an interesting story, but all they did was gather their father, and the book ends at the best part, when he is back and decides to go to Terra.
The performance reading was ok, I wished it had a bit more different voices, but it's hard to make multiple in such a book filled with characters.
Overall it was fine, I only wished it had understood some parts.

Fairly good book for TSons

This was a good book to explain the slow downward spiral the thousand sons had into the selfish sorcerer that they are in the 41st millennium. The story was good to explain the strangeness of the warp and how it can be molded by pyskers. There was a few confusing section mostly due to switching characters a few times in a chapter but that is about it. good voice acting, I could tell who was who and wasn't confused. I will highly suggest reading this if you like TSons.

#magnus did nothing wrong
(joking he did many things wrong)
