Publisher's Summary

She took a dare and fell in love. Truth would have been the smarter choice.

After years of living under her father's thumb, Emmeline is ready to break free. She's abandoned her life as a New York socialite to follow her dream of becoming a kindergarten teacher in a small, wholesome town. Seeing the man that nearly broke her was absolutely not what she had hoped to find in Prescott, Montana.

Nick hasn't seen his Emmy in nine years, but that doesn't mean he's forgotten a thing about the woman he loves. After just one blissful night as man and wife, he gave her up, sacrificing his own happiness to keep her safe - far away from him. But the moment she walks back into his lonely life is the moment he decides never to let her go again. He won't waste his second chance. All he has to do is win back Emmeline's heart, keep her safe from the shadows in his past, and prove to her that taking a wager on him is a sure bet.

4 The Clover Chapel Stars

I freaking enjoyed this book, Emmy and Nick are a match made for each other. I love that Emmy is snarky and yet she totally can’t stay away from Nick not matter what.

I really found Logan to be a stand-up guy he, he didn’t have to be so nice. I am glad that part of the story turned out the way it did.

Ahhh but the story totally gets twisty and I love that! Just when you think it is going to go one way it goes another.. Perfect! Loved it.

I did wish we had gotten a little more update on Mason. We did but we didn’t he was a pretty big part of the story and then he wasn’t and I get it but I wanted a follow up or something.

Very much loved Gigi and Mazy making an appearance.

If you love small towns as much as I do then you need to pick up this book. Beaus it has it all the sweet and the sexy.

Also the narrators are freaking perfect, they bring these characters to life with emotion and tone and you can’t ask for more than that.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Off the charts series

Love when I find a series that I haven’t yet had the pleasure of tackling. Then I’m faced with, do I absorb them as fast as I can, like I want to? Or do I try and space them out so they are not over with so quickly?

There are 2 men from book 1 that I have been dying to hear more from and those are Nick and Silas, so I was very excited that book 2 was Nick’s book. And he didn’t disappoint. His questionable history kept him apart from Emmy for 9 years but in a twist of fate, they are reunited and boy did it feel so good.

Without giving too much away, I was a little put off by being hit in all directions with the dramatics. I felt like maybe having it focused in one area would have felt more genuine but it’s such a small critique because I truly loved this book and this story. Really all you have to do is throw in Nick’s alpha confidence and I’m all in. He accepted his mistakes and after that was all in and was ready to prove to Emmy he can be the man he was when they first met.

I truly love this Montana town. I think Devney Perry has done a great job at painting the mountains and describing the mismatched town. I can do vividly imagine it in my head and it’s brilliant.

Ava Erickson and Joe Arden give these characters such perfection. Ava can go from book 1 and playing a small town girl to book 2 where she is playing a girl who grew up in New York City and either way, completely believable. Her voice just adjusts so nicely. Joe Arden is alpha perfection and he performed the tortured aspects with so much emotion.

For Kristen Ashley and Robyn Carr fans!!

Here is your next favorite author. In the same vein as Ashley and Carr, Devney Perry draws you in to a community. A community of characters that are lovingly intertwined with ties of friendship, respect, hard work and the drive to do what’s right for your community and those you love. Riddled with alpha males and smart sassy women in a tight community set in beautiful country. This story will speak to all those things that warm you from the inside out. GREAT STORY. My newest favorite author!

A story that engrosses and entertains!

After reading The Coppersmith Farmhouse I was excited to go back to Jamison Valley for another story but I waited for the audiobook release and didn’t regret that decision. The Clover Chapel is an awesome audiobook with great narration by Ava Erickson and Joe Arden.

“Let’s get married,” Nick whispered into my ear.
“What?” I gasped, turning to look up at him with wide eyes. Where had that come from?
“Let’s get married. You said you wanted crazy. Nothing is crazier than two people who just met getting hitched in Las Vegas.”

What a great blend of insta-love, Vegas wedding, second-chance, with some mystery and danger thrown in for a story that engrossed and entertains!!

Loved everything about this!!!

Audible: Narrators – Ava Erickson and Joe Arden
OMG!!! I absolutely loved these narrators! They brought so much depth and emotion to the characters. It was easy on the ear and smooth while also bringing to life the character’s personalities. I was disappointed when the audio ended and I wanted to rewind and start all over again!

It’s official. I’m a diehard fan of this author and The Clover Chapel solidified the deal.

I absolutely love the way Ms. Perry writes. Her stories never get bogged down and there’s always something new right around the corner for her characters. And talking about characters, she gives them so much life. They each have their awesome qualities as well as their quirks that make them human. They come to life on the page and despite making some a-hole decisions, they’re always redeemable.

Loved meeting Nick and Emmy and revisiting with Jess and Gigi. There were some new friends and family introduced as well and I’m curious to see where this series is going to go.

If you haven’t tried this one yet, I dare you. No, I double dare you.

4.5 Second Chance Stars!

Audible Review: I loved both narrators for this book. Both Ava Erickson and Joe Arden did a fantastic job. I'm pretty picky when a female impersonates a male and vice versa and I have no complaints with these two.

Story Review: I'm pretty much hooked on Devney Perry's Alpha Hero's. While second chance romances aren't my favorite, Nick's actions towards Emmeline when she came back into his life made this a good one.

Nick pursued Emmeline like his life depended on it and that's what I needed to see after he let her go 9 years prior. I also liked how the author had these two work together on their issues and had little pushing away by Emmeline. I'm not a fan of pushing away.

I enjoyed seeing Gigi and Jess again as well as the rest of the gang. Knowing that future books will involve all these people just has me more invested in the series. I'm really looking forward to the next one.
