Publisher's Summary

Willa Doon has always been shy. Her quiet demeanor was something she's always embraced. That is until Jackson Page moves to town. The one man she desperately wants to take notice struggles to remember her name.

Year after year, Willa stands by, watching as the bartender/playboy drowns his demons in beer and sex. Then one night, he shows up at her door, suddenly aware that the girl he's seen around Lark Cove is now a beautiful woman.

Except what he doesn't remember is that this visit isn't his first. They spent a night together once before. A night he's forgotten, thanks to a bottle of tequila.

A night that crushed a timid girl's heart and set a broken man on the path to heal them both.

Ten stars

I so enjoyed this book. It is so well developed and the characters just become part of you as the story pulls you in. I am moving on to book three. The audible is fantastic. It adds so much to the story. I could listen to the voices all day! Enioy

GAH!!!

I absolutely loved this book!!!
Willa has loved Jackson since she was a teenager and one night he kisses her....but he forgot it happened!!
In most books there is usually so much push and pill, that it eventually becomes annoying!! Not this book. Willa is not a doormat, nor is she whiney and indecisive. Jackson comes off as a jerk, but it doesn't last and you can't hell but love him. Maxine Mitchell (whom I do not love) was awesome in this book, and Aaron Shedlock, well there are no words for his awesomeness! Everyone should read this!!!

Beautiful romance enhanced by amazing narration!

Timid by Devney Perry is a beautiful romance. it is filled with endearing and complex characters. The emotions are intense and palpable. Aaron Shedlock and Maxine Mitchell bring Jackson and Willa to life with intention and precision. Their voices never detract from the plot and feeling of the story. They captured the characters with vigor and enhanced my reading experience.

Jackson and Willa!

Welcome back to Lark Cove for Timid, book three in this small town series.
Willa has lived her whole life in this small town and has a crush on Jackson, the bartender at the bar for as long as she can remember. She has watched him flirt with so many woman, yet he can’t get her name right. When Thea draws a picture of Willa, Jackson doesn’t realize that beautiful woman in the picture is Willa. Now he sees her in a whole new light, but he still can be an idiot and had to find a way to show her that he is a good guy all that she imagined. He has a hard time trusting people and when his past comes back to haunt him he realizes that Willa has not only his back but his heart.
I had the opportunity to listen to the audio version and I thought the narrators knocked it out of the park!

Meh..

Generally like this author and this series. However, this one was slower paced, teetering on boring at times. Not bad, but others in series had more action and characters with a bit more dimension to them.

Great Story

I liked Jackson's character the best. Willa was too "timid" as the title suggests. Although she did have her moment when she wasn't so complacent and stood her ground and by standing up to Jackson and a few of her friends. Being always agreeable gave some of her friends the idea that they could say anything to her until the day she also stood up to them. I do love how Willa and Jackson's story played out. Devney Perry does a great job in her series where the characters from the previous book stay incorporated in the series throughout.

I really wanted to shake Willa

Another fabulous book by Devney Perry. I really wanted to punch Jackson sometimes and shake Willa to stand up for herself, but in the end she grew a backbone somewhat.

good book

I struggled with it at first because, I thought, the female narrator didnt really suit the character. The narrator was confident but the character was shy. still I enjoyed it apart from that
