Publisher's Summary

Licensed therapist and certified relationship coach Dr. Lyn Kelley will show you how to rate men on the “cheapness scale”. She explains what cheapness really is, what causes it, and how to respond to it; the difference between resourceful and miserly; and how and why men become "moochers" and how to prevent it. Plus, she discusses the 20 most common mistakes women make that cause men to become cheap, the only way to get any man to become more generous, and how to talk to a man about his cheap or miserly behavior in ways that he will respond well.

sounds like author is reading in a tin can

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

recording quality poor. Sounds like she is reading in a tin can. Material in book was awful, not practical, qualified nor sound advice. Sorry that I purchased this audiobook. Do your research, before buying this audio book !

How could the performance have been better?

Record in a professional studio?

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

None, it was awful. Sorry I purchased it.

Finally someone is willing to talk about it!

Would you listen to Cheap Men again? Why?

Yes, it really helped me.

What insight do you think you’ll apply from Cheap Men?

This book is fabulous! Finally, someone gave "voice" to what I was thinking and wondering all along. It really helped to have someone define the different types of cheapness - which ones can be dealt with and which ones can't be. Before I read this book I "fed into" men's cheapness instead of handling it the right way. Now I know how to respond to the first signs of cheapness in a nice, polite, tactful way.

Any additional comments?

I learned that "cheapness" has a lot more to do with things other than money. Often carries over into other things like being lazy about putting energy and time into the relationship and not being thoughtful and considerate.

Just when you thought it was safe to go ..........

If you are thinking of dipping your toe back in the dating water this is an interesting listen. Production on the recording is at times a bit iffy however there is some really useful advice and ways of identifying people like this . It's aimed at a female market however the the advice cuts both ways.

Short, pithy and to the point. Worth a listen.

Good luck!
