Winter's Guardian<br />

The narration initially made it so I was so distracted/annoyed that I got nothing from the story but decided to give it a second chance and just read it. I really enjoyed it. I listened again and was able to ignore the irritation I experienced the first time. I 've actually read the rest of the books finished and have thoroughly enjoyed all.

Story vs Narration

I have read all three books in the series and decided to buy all three audiobooks for convenience. I started listening to the first today and have had a really hard time with it. The female narrator has a very difficult time with the male voices, to the point that I laugh almost every time she tries one. A lot of the time she sounds like a Batman imitation. If she were only doing female voices, I wouldn’t have a problem. However, it was very annoying and distracting through the story. Still, I love the story, so I’ll deal with it.

LOVE

I loved this book! I enjoyed being able to listen while I'm doing housework or working in general. the narrator was good aside from a few voices, some sounded off putting. Overall though it was pretty awesome.

Juvenile Writing

The story has potential but the writing style was very basic. The main character lacks objection, conviction and internal struggle. She gives into anything without any panic or thinking. This makes for a bland and unbelievable story. The progression isn't natural.

A story I can listen to endlessly

If you could sum up Winter's Guardian in three words, what would they be?

Exciting, amazing storyline and filled with hot guys.

What did you like best about this story?

This is the third time i've read/listened to Winter's guardian and I love it more every time. Winter is such a strong and likeable character. The storyline is very original and keeps you wanting more with every page. Winter's story is filled with joy but also sadness and these book will make you cry. But it will also put a smile on your face and I can assure you, you will want to listen it again.

Any additional comments?

The audio was great. Both narrators did a fantastic job.

Why haven't I started this series until now?

What did you love best about Winter's Guardian?

Great start to the series! Sets up well for the rest of the story.

- Loved the wolf pack and the characters Winter gets to meet and connects to
- Want a Jax and Atti of my own
- Loved that each of the mates is from a different supernatural race
- Loved the hints at what is to come, nicely thrown in there throughout the book

Did Kevin T. Collins and Natasha Soudek do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

I enjoyed Kevin's voice and wanted more of it to be honest. Natasha's portrayal of Alex irked me, made her sound like a floozy at times/was way too breathy. This was my first audiobook so I don't have anything to compare to it. I did get used to her Jaxson voice, did a good job with that. I liked her portrayal of Freddy and Katy too.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Most of the time, yes. I think I got a little annoyed with Natasha's voice when she had longer chapters or chapters back to back. I listened to the book while driving to work and other locations. Kept my attention and actually helped me concentrate on driving better (not letting all the little things in my head distract me).
