Publisher's Summary

It isn't every day a sexy demigod throws a pissed-off Cupid onto psychologist Matilda Schmidt's couch and informs her the fate of the world depends on her ability to get him off his diapered ass and back to helping people fall in love.

Just when Matilda convinces herself she's not hallucinating, in walks a Vegas hit man with a big gun and a bigger threat: pay back the million dollars she owes a notorious casino mogul or wind up as fish food in Lake Mead.

Rocketing cross-country with a gun to her head, Matilda has a dysfunctional love god in her laptop bag and a million-dollar debt she has no knowledge of and must convince the seductive hit man he's snatched the wrong woman before he convinces her he might be the right man - for a night.

Can Matilda stay alive long enough to keep love from becoming history?

Hilarious

Never read/listened to her books before, but this won't be the last! Matilda was a great heroine & I would find myself laughing out loud while listening. The audio performance was excellent & had enough dry wit sound to her voice, you knew this was exactly how Matilda would sound.

I loved this "Unlovable" book

Matilda is so much fun as a character, the way she diagnoses almost everyone she encounters despite being a bit......special herself. Crixus is just a sex magnet and watching the bond form between Liam Matilda was heartwarming. Cupid was a riot as he went from cute to annoying to wow to wanting to throttle him. I was glad to see how his crises were solved. Hollie makes these character so fun and lifelike, a perfect narrator.

At times I was laughing so loud that I woke my husband up. The story is full of laughter, Romance and some mystery. Holly Jackson is the best at narrating, she brings the story to life. Addicted Already!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely! It's a hilariously fun and steamy story, it keeps you entertained from beginning to end. Matilda is a smart and logical woman, who gets her life turned upside because Cupid needs help getting his life back on track. Even the "bad" guys are hard not to love. Crixus (DemiGod) is demanding and obnoxious, however he adds a nice flare to the story, especially after we learn about his method of travel.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the banter between Cupid and Matilda. The humor in this story is phenomenal. I love a story that is able to hold my interest and make me want more. I became fully invested in their lives.

What does Hollie Jackson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I have never been interested in audio books before but Hollie Jackson was easy to listen to, you could hear each character in her voice. Plus you could tell she loved being able to narrate the story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The beginning of this story had me laughing within minutes and going oh lord I've thought the same thing! I laughed soo much my abs were hurting, totally a good pain! There were a few heart-rending moments that truly got to me like this one: “You’re not like any woman I’ve ever met. You’re brilliant. Kind. Gentle. Beautiful… How does a woman like you go her whole life untouched?”

Any additional comments?

Overall this story is well rounded and thought-out, I loved being able to review this book.
