Songwriter Dylan McCoy has been burned. By her boyfriend she found in her bed...with someone else. A new standalone novel from #1 New York Times bestselling author, Vi Keeland. The night I met Drew Jagger, he'd just broken into my new Park Avenue office. I dialed 9-1-1 before proceeding to attack him with my fancy new Krav Maga skills. He quickly restrained me, then chuckled, finding my attempted assault amusing. Of course, my intruder had to be arrogant. Only, turned out, he wasn't an intruder at all. Drew was the rightful occupant of my new office. He'd been on vacation while his posh space was renovated.

They called him Mack Daddy. No, seriously, his name was Mack. Short for Mackenzie. Thus, the nickname. Perfect, right? So was he: perfect. The perfect physical male specimen. At the private school where I taught, Mack Morrison was the only man around in a sea of women.
The first time I met Brody Easton was in the men's locker room. It was my first interview as a professional sportscaster. The famed quarterback decided to bare all. And by all, I don't mean he told me any of his secrets. No. The arrogant ass decided to drop his towel just as I asked the first question. On camera.
Enter Hayes Whitley. Mega-movie star. The man who has captured the hearts of millions. But I gave him mine years ago. He was my first love. He was my everything. Right until he up and left to chase his dreams without so much as a simple goodbye. When he showed up out of the blue 10 years later, I should have known to steer clear. I should have rejected his offer to take me to my ex's wedding and told him he was crazy when he suggested we act like a couple to show my ex, it's true, I could do better than him.
Blind dates? Online dating profiles? Been there, done that. Georgia Cummings has zero luck with dating, and the era of the Internet is not her friend. No matter how fast she runs, how many corners she turns, she can't find her way out of this weird, alternate universe where men think dick pics are a replacement for small talk and getting to know a girl. One more crotch selfie and she might write men off for good. But why can't she stop fantasizing about him?
I've been told I have quite a gift. Hey, I don't just mean in my pants. I've got a big brain, too, and a huge heart of gold. And I like to use all my gifts to the fullest, the package included. Life is smooth sailing...until I find myself stuck between a rock and a sexy roommate, which makes for one very hard...place. Because scoring an apartment in this city is harder than finding true love. So even if I have to shack up with my buddy's smoking-hot and incredibly amazing little sister, a man's got to do what a man's got to do.
Growing up, the three of us were friends. He was the nerd. I was the playboy. She was the beauty. Deep down, I only ever wanted her. I kept it inside because Rory and I made a pact that our friend, Amber, was off-limits. He lied. I went off to college, and he got the girl. Amber never knew how I felt. They were together for years - before he broke her heart. Through it all and across the miles, she and I casually stayed in touch. When my job sent me to Boston for a three-month contract position, Amber let me stay in her spare room.
I met Bianca in an elevator. She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck. The beautiful raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed. She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she'd dubbed "Mister Moneybags" - her afternoon appointment. Bianca told me how much she hated Dex's type - snobby, over-educated, silver-spooned men who didn't appreciate the simple things in life.
It wasn't supposed to be like this.... I wasn't supposed to be boyfriendless, homeless, and jobless at 28. And I most definitely wasn't supposed to hit Hollywood's resident bad boy Gabriel Evans with my car and break his foot. Now I'm stuck in his apartment, taking care of him while he's incapacitated. Living with the hottest guy in Hollywood, who I've had a crush on forever, doesn't sound like a chore, right? Wrong. Gabriel Evans is rude and crude and drinks way too much, and as soon as his foot is healed I'm out of here. So why do I keep forgetting to check the classifieds?
Life hasn't been easy for Charlie. Her mother was a monster. And when Charlie left home, there wasn't always a warm bed, food, or a hot shower. She figured out how to get by on her looks. When her mother dies and she comes home to put that part of her life behind her, she finds the diary. It fills her with rage. She's out for revenge. But along the way she meets him. Ethan DOES play by the rules. And at the top of his list is "Don't get involved with clients." Will he break his rules for Charlie?
I'm writing this letter because it's highly doubtful I'll ever garner the courage to say this to your face. So, here goes. We're totally wrong for each other. You're the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. I'm just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England. But here's the thing... for some bloody reason, I can't stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.
Ever notice that sometimes a guy will do something really stupid, like let the love of his life slip through his fingers? Yeah. I'm that guy. But the instant I run into her again I've got one goal and one goal only—a second chance. The plan? Go big or go home. Fine, at first glance, stripping naked at my ex-girlfriend's place of work might not seem like the brightest way to win her heart again. But trust me on this count—she always liked me best without any clothes on. And sometimes you've got to play to your strengths when you're fighting an uphill battle.
The first time I met Caine West was in a bar. He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out. When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight -- telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass. You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend-smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married. He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.
So you may ask, who is Adam Connor? He is the recently divorced, Academy Award-winning actor who just moved in next door with his kid. He also happens to be an exquisite male specimen and the most infuriating sly bastard I've ever come across.
While I was being thoughtful by not breaking and entering, and was actually considering going over to offer him a shoulder to cry on (you know, because of his divorce), instead he had me thrown in jail after a small incident. Jail, people! He was supposed to grant me countless orgasms as a thank you, not a jail cell.
After that day, I was mentally plotting ways to strangle him. So what if my body did more than just shiver when he whispered dirty little things in my ear? I can't be held responsible for that.
Even if he and his son were the best things since sliced bread, I couldn't fall for him. No matter what promises he whispered on my skin, my curse wouldn't let us be. I wasn't a damsel in distress - I could save myself, thank you very much - but deep inside, I still hoped Adam Connor would be the hero of my story.
this book is about love and hate I thought it was cute funny and in some parts there were intense moments I have to say the book didn't get interesting until the third chapter the first two chapters or about her complaining but once you get past that it's pretty adorable.

Who wouldn't hate this well loved Academy Award winning actor with his handsome face, fit body, sexy smile, drool-worthy bulge, dirty mouth, and his heart of gold when around his cute son.. yup awful and definitely not a DILTF.. nope not ever.. sigh. See I can be as delusional as Lucy can when it comes to her best friend's hot as hell sexy neighbor who she'd happily spied on and fantasized about while staying at Olive and Jason's house until the day Adam Connor had her arrested. And Lucy's over imagined Dad she'd like to .... suddenly turned into a Dad she'd like to throttle - and she didn't hold back when it came to letting him know how she felt. But underneath their witty barbed banter and glowering dark looks there was a simmering slow boil of sexual attraction that would, eventually, spill over and create one hell of a passionate flame.
Adam couldn't believe it.. after his bitter divorce he'd been trying hard to be the best joint custody Dad he could be for his five yr old son.. until the day the infuriating, feisty, sharp-tongued stalker/she devil next door had saved his precious son. Then it was Lucy this, Lucy that as his son instantly connected with her, brought her into their lives and forged a loving bond. And he? Well he couldn't believe that, despite all the easily tossed humorous insults and all the 'bring it on' heated hostile glares, there was a strong attraction too. Which eventually led to passion-filled stolen kisses, heartfelt warm feelings as he watched her loving interactions with his son and slowly Adam saw beneath Lucy's prickly defences to her kind, caring and loving heart. And Adam wanted that heart to be his - but it wasn't going to easy and it needed very careful handling as well as a lot of patience and understanding too.. however it would eventually be worth it.
Oh how I loved loved loved this humorous light listen with its deep undertones - the friendship between Lucy and Olive was so believable with their easy-flowing funny banter - the bond that was forged between Lucy and Adam's son Aiden was so sweet and supportive - Adam's love and devotion for his son was inspirational, right and real - and the jousting journey that Adam and Lucy's relationship took was all-consuming as their emotions slowly unravelled into a well-written wonderful love story. There was a bit of angst, a bit of drama, sexcapades, good secondary characters as well as a loveable h/h.. and the cherry on top of this delicious cake was the dual POV narration which brought every scene to life.. and made them pop.
Worth a credit? If you like, or are in the mood for, a highly entertaining and enjoyable Rom/Com.. then they surely don't come any better than this - and yes it was DEFINITELY creditworthy.

My first Ella Maise story and it won't be my last. It was funny, steamy and had a lot of witty banter. I found myself laughing out loud. I LOVE IT, but I have to admit I almost did not make it past the first couple of chapters. Some of the dialogue between Lucy and Olive was annoying but once the pool scene hit (around chapter five) the story, dialogue and plot was awesome. I'm really glad I did not give up on this one!
Some spoilers;
After a break up, Lucy temporarily moves in with her best friend Olive and her husband Jason who happen to live right next door to the sexy movie star, Adam Connor. She secretly spies on Adam over the fence and takes a few pictures. One day while spying, she notices Adam's son, Aiden, is left alone by the pool where he puts on one arm float and gets in by himself. Watching from over the fence, Lucy sees the little boy start to panic when his arm float comes off and he starts swallowing water. Lucy realizes no one is coming to the little boys aid so she goes over the fence, and jumps in the pool to save him. Adam comes out and sees a stalker holding his son, and he has her arrested. Adam hates stalkers, and dislikes Lucy immediately. He's rude, won't listen to her, and her admiration for him quickly turns to hate. (Heck, I wanted to hate Adam.) After five hours in jail, Lucy's livid. Adam does end up dropping the charges when he learns the truth from his son and nanny. The next day, Adam and Aiden go next door to thank and apologize to Lucy. Lucy accepts, but they are hostile to each other. These two clearly do not like each other, but Lucy and Aiden bond well and Adam agrees to let Lucy watch Aiden for a week until he can find a new nanny. He may despise Lucy, but she's proven she will keep his son safe.
Adam and Lucy's hate quickly turns to attraction and the chemistry between them his hot. Adam was a swoon worthy DILF! He knows what he wants and goes for it! Awesome story with a few surprising twists. Well worth the time and definitely worth a credit!

If you could sum up To Hate Adam Connor in three words, what would they be?
amazing, thrilling book!!!
What other book might you compare To Hate Adam Connor to and why?
I don't think I can I say I can compare it to another book, but i would say listen to love Jason Thorn so that you have a better understanding.
What about Lidia Dornet and Sebastian York ’s performance did you like?
That Lidia did a 100% much better job narrating then last times. I also loved that fact that you get so much more listening time of Sebastian York.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me cry and laugh so much that I looked like a crazy one. It had some moments where I was at the edge of my seat.

Book two in an original, well written, character driven, sexy, funny and laugh out loud series. Loveable characters narrated with style by Mr York SIGH and miss Dornet. Very enjoyable !!
Love Sebastian York. His voice is sin on a stick. I think I had 1 of those mini orgasams when he was doing the sex scenes. Good choice on narrator.
