Publisher's summary

Named one of "The 20 Greatest Ever Romance Novels According to Goodreads Reviews" by O, The Oprah Magazine

Young interior designer Ava O'Shea has no idea what awaits her at the Manor. A run-of-the-mill consultation with a stodgy country gent seems likely, but what Ava finds instead is Jesse Ward - a devastatingly handsome, utterly confident, pleasure-seeking playboy who knows no boundaries.

Ava doesn't want to be attracted to this man, and yet she can't control the overwhelming desire that he stirs in her. She knows that her heart will never survive him and her instinct is telling her to run, but Jesse is not willing to let her go. He wants her and is determined to have her.

CRA CRA IN THE BEST WAY

Would you listen to This Man again? Why?

Yes, I can put this title on repeat. I have actually change my GPS voice to UK English because I love this audible so much.

What was one of the most memorable moments of This Man?

Jesse Ward, each time he shouts to EVA "watch your mouth" even during the sexy times., especially during the sexy times.

Which character – as performed by Edita Brychta – was your favorite?

Both Ava and Jesse was brilliant.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me LOL so much I had to slow down in my car and repeat several chapters just to hear it again.

Any additional comments?

I listen to this ebook first and have not read the kindle version. However, I have since purchase the paperback just so I can have this book at my fingertips when I am away from my car. I don't know what listening to my radio means. Its constantly on THIS MAN

It's a struggle to finish

The story is way longer than it should be. I was pretty set that I wasn't going to get the next book but the last little bit had me wanting more.

I agree 5 Stars are not enough

This is one of those books that a 5 star rating won't do it justice. Everything about it is just perfect. You just want to lock yourself away and listen from beginning to end and then get the next book. That's excatly what I did.Well worth that credit. Love it!!

DRAMA FOR THE SAKE OF DRAMA!

Would you try another book from Jodi Ellen Malpas and/or Edita Brychta?

Not a very good story teller. I didn't relate to the characters.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Create more real tension not some stupid non existent reason to keep breaking up and having make up sex e.g. the male seems to have a thing about his age or the fact that he is rich or something that could be a real issue.

What didn’t you like about Edita Brychta’s performance?

She could not pull of a convincing male voice

Was This Man worth the listening time?

Mediocre

Love it!

What made the experience of listening to This Man the most enjoyable?

The narrator makes me really laugh! The voice and the story are reminded me of a feisty and a bit dirty Bridgett Jones.

Any additional comments?

I loved the whole book series, I can't wait for the rest of the audio books. Please keep the same narrator!

I Agree With the Mediocre Reviews -Hard 2 Rate

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would probably not recommend this book. This genre/plot IS overdone and I agree that most of the book falls into the nothing special to set 'This Man' apart category.

Rich, overbearing studly rich man. Young, spineless struggling woman. This HAS worked NUMEROUS times - but there needs to be something more.

The something more did come along but it was in the final chapters. My interest was piqued and I MAY be suckered into the next book.

Any additional comments?

Strong language, descriptions of sex... will probably be tempted to see where the story goes but will probably try to hold off until it goes on sale.

My advice, don't start the trilogy unless you don't mind filler and repetition. Without having read the next two books - I dare say the trilogy would be better fitting into one or two volumes.

Ish

Any additional comments?

I loved the Brit-wit in this book but was appalled that this wasn't a stand-alone book. A decent editor and a savvy publisher would've distilled a worthy story into one book instead of three! What happened to choosing the value of a a great story into a great bottom line? The amazon reviews saved me from installment 2 and 3. Again, they suffer a lack of a critical eye. I am done with overwritten trilogies and E.L. Wannabes! Every employee at Random House (shipping, janitors) received a $5,000 bonus at year end 2012 because of the success of 50 shades. A formula was born and we, the readers, are paying for it literally and figuratively. This is not fine art.

The voice of the reader is WAY too old

Any additional comments?

The book says she is 26, the reader is clearly in her 40's. it makes it hard to see things in my mind how they were to be intended when the reader is clearly older.
