Publisher's Summary

In this "very satisfying mix of dizzying intrigue and steamy romance", the number-one New York Times best-selling author delivers a novel that's "perfect for those who love a good alpha male and a damsel in distress who doesn't wait for someone else to rescue her" (Publishers Weekly).

Ryan Willis has spent years in the protection business, a job that requires constant vigilance and quick thinking. His only chance to truly relax is at his secluded cabin in a small town. So when Ryan returns after an assignment and encounters a beautiful stranger, he isn't only surprised, he's also instantly intrigued.

Hannah Bright is a breath of fresh air, and Ryan is soon completely consumed, unable to stop from falling for her. As the two grow closer, his instinct tells him something is amiss. Yet nothing could prepare him for what he discovers when he starts digging into her past.

Hannah spends her days painting, running her arts and crafts store...and hiding too many secrets. It's why she won't let the ruggedly handsome bodyguard get too close. But their chemistry is undeniable, and Hannah quickly finds herself caught up in a whirlwind romance with Ryan. He is peace personified, a balm to her battered soul. Yet the gorgeous, captivating man who has swept Hannah off her feet doesn't even know who she really is. And the moment he finds out, both their lives are at risk....

Review of Leave me Breathless

I don't usually review books but had to write a review for this simple book. This was a 13 hour book and the first 12 hours of the book were the most pointless I have ever listened to. I kept hanging in there as I thought something has to change but honestly it was ridiculous in the simplicity. All it talked about was how much they wanted each other. What a waste of almost 14 hours.

Jack George 😍🥰

Book was great. Love scenes were so romantic and hot at the same time. just enough Suspense and intrigue to keep me guessing. Normally I figure books out at the first clue. Alex was hilarious.

AMAZING!

Absolutely brilliant! Ryan and Hannah are electrifying, Hannah with a past that could get her killed and Ryan with a past that could kill..Jodi Ellen Malpas is without a doubt a brilliantly talented storyteller!! A true page turner start to finish.

Review Worthy

I'm not a huge fan of writing reviews, but I was impressed with the well rounded emotions in this book. There is drama, suspense, humor, love and hate. The only downside to me was that she added sex scenes that weren't really necessary to "enhance" the story (in some books slated as romantic suspense by the time I fast forward through the sex there's about aen hour of actual story). The scenes were far less than the usual book would gave in it. I thank you for that. My absolute favorite part of this book was the cabbage!
I'm not familiar with either narrator but both were solid and did a good job distinguishing the main characters.

Even better the second time.

Even better the second time around! It's like watching a love story unfold before my eyes. I'm sure I'll read it again in a couple of years.

JEM is always entertaining

Jodi Ellen Malpas never fails to bring it. compared to other authors in this genre, this book was tops. Compared to other JEM works, it was one of the better books, not the best, but good.
