Richly plotted story

I give a sigh of relieve after finishing the story. I will venture another work by this author.
The narrator is wonderful with her voice, making my listening time enjoyable.

1.0 or 1.25 not satisfactory

The Audio transmission did not do the book justice. I found it too slow on 1.0 and too fast on 1.25

Loved it!

I truly love the way May tells a story. I smiled, laughed and had misty eyes.

Great story

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the performance was perfect, the story was captivating, I never got bored and it had a surprise but sad ending.. I will read more books from this author, bravo!

Beautiful story

This is a well written love story and what made it different than most was the main characters Rebeca & Millicent were strong women that grew stronger in her life journey as most women find out in real life!

i absolutely loved it!! This book held my attention as I drove long distances. i couldnt bear to get out of my car because I continuously wanted to hear more.

A Little Disappointing

The overall story is intriguing and the love interest developed slowly. There’s an interesting twist when we realized Elizabeth is pregnant by the father and the elaborate tale he created to keep the real birth date a secret. Don’t want to give too much away. My problem is the author doesn’t give you enough information about Elizabeth. You find out in the epilogue that she was left at boarding school, not knowing about her family thinking she is alone, then to find out her brother is a peer and currently prime minister. But wait, there’s more. Elizabeth is illegitimate and her mother is a washed up actress who is a drunk. Here’s another one, Elizabeth thinks she has murdered a man trying to assault her. Whew. Too many plots. You don’t introduce major characters without giving a logical way to exit. I understand there are a series of books and plots may be a next book but the ending of this book made me say “what?” Too many unanswered:(

Loved the book , But the narrator is one of the worst. Terrible! I couldn’t wait to finish listening to it! If you can handle to listen to the narrator, The book is worth it.
