stayed till the end

she was a little bit unbelievable in her blinders approach to morality. humans have shorter fuses and more stupid hurt reactions. but also I laughed. about fictional aunt when busted: "you don't have" an aunt so in so. "I know , she's dead."

Loved the story

I love the story but it would’ve been so much better if it had been a different narrator!!! The story had me laughing out loud and very engaged but I can only take this particular narrator for so long.

The narrator is terrible! She says each sentence with the exact same cadence. Is it AI? What a waste, because the story is quite nice.

Titillating Humor

Wonderfully refreshing in terms of the storyline. The humor left me snickering and giggling as I drove back from vacation. Just enough steam to keep my imagination engaged with no crass language or vulgarity. Thank you!

was a very well done story. performance was amazing! it's mature themes are not as vulgar as most books are.
Story line is a very typical romance, but there are some pretty good twist that made me laugh, because even I a script writer did not expect that!😅

Yes!!!!

I stumbled across this book on audible and decided to give it a try. I do enjoy historical romance so have some experience with the genre. This book was so well written and flowed so seamlessly that I’m going to buy everything she’s written and binge it like a tub of ice cream!!! The characters were well developed, there were good supporting characters as well. The plot was interesting with just the right amount of humor, athos, and pace. The dialogue was authentic and the plot was mostly believable which tends to be my sticking point for some of the historical romance novels. There was revenge and a happy ever after. The only thing that could have made this better would be a peek into how it went after (such as a epilogue because I’m a sucker for them) because I felt like there were still some loose ends to tie up. Otherwise, it was truly a gem of a book and I enjoyed the whole thing!!! The narration was done well for this audiobook. I was able to tell the male characters apart and I think that the narrator did well overall. I absolutely recommend buying this book!

Wonderful book

This was my first time reading a book by Anne Gracie and I can definitely say it won't be my last. Gideon, Lord Carradice, is my new book boyfriend. The plot kept moving. There were some fun twists. But the banter was *chef's kiss*. The narrator was very pleasing to listen to, and did a great job distinguishing between the characters, which couldn't have been easy with 5 sisters.
