Wonderful!

Loved everything about the well written and beautifully narrated story. It moved quickly not born down with unnecessary, long descriptions as so many others. Those long narratives insult the reader. I will seek out more books from this author.

very enjoyable story.

I absolutely loved it. great characters. great dialog. I laughed out loud at the banter between the 2 main characters. what made it so good was the narration. she was fantastic. looking forward to the next one.

Lovely Read

This book was a well written and lovely read. It has love and passion without being overly vulgar. While few things shock me at my age dwelling on sexual content in long drawn out details sometimes just sounds like someone trying to create a open fantasy than a true love scene. I don't read bed hoppers for a reason and it is not because I am a prude but I want to see the love and passion with commitment and fidelity.
The book is a good length and the story very compelling. The narrator was great! Enjoyed the story immensely and recommend it highly. Very relaxing listen!

Story was good

I chose this book because I’m a fan of the talented narrator. The story was good, I just wish Cam was a little more heroic—maybe not so wrapped up in what the people think. I know in that time period it was all about not having a scandal, but I feel like he didn’t do enough to help her when she needed him, more just “patching” the issues like he was always ashamed. Overall I liked the idea of the story and liked Lady Bridget’s character very much.

It is an average story

If you want to “read” a romance movel while you do tasks around the house, and it’s free with your membership, it’s a good candidate. It isn’t overly graphic sexuality either. It’s just an easy read

Good character development & plot

Loved the plot of this story and the character development was more developed than other novels by Hutton. I enjoyed the spunk of the protagonist, and the story brings to light many injustices of the time and society without it being too heavy handed.

It was okay…

I wanted to finish it, so it kept my attention. Didn’t like the narration. Thought the female lead was a soiled brat but liked the male lead. But storyline was creative & believable for the time period, although a little predictable. But I do like this author.

Good romance with strong heroine and open minded male lead

The characters were nice and had backstories that made sense. I really enjoyed that this book didn’t fall into the trap of a strong woman being bent to the will of her love interest. She remains strong throughout and they grow to try and understand the other. It was a nice change and refreshing. They had that instant attraction that I’m not crazy about in stories but because the author had them wait in their physical intimacy milestones it was less annoying. Also, I will say the author makes it almost a pulpit point that people need to marry and have kids to ensure you don’t end up old and alone. It’s not a sentiment I agree with, but it was a sentiment that was reiterated quite a number of times to start to bother me. However, I was still overall able to enjoy the story. Anyway, if the premise interests you, I would definitely give it a go.

The narrator did a great job. I would happily listen to any other stories they’ve narrated.

Unimpressive

A little less than mediocre story and narrator. Plot and storyline are too generic. 😞
