Annie is struggling to keep her ranch afloat. When her foreman of many years is called away to care for his ailing sister, she has no choice but to run an ad in the local newspaper, looking for help.
What she didn't bargain with was finding a man who not only does the work of three men, but one who also lights a fire within her that hasn't been lit since her ex-husband walked out on her seven years before.
Sexy, dominant, and scarred, not only from a horrendous accident but from a bad marriage and divorce, Quinn has decided that Annie should be his wife. Annie, on the other hand, is not so sure.
Just when things start to look up for the ranch, will she throw away the best thing to walk into her life?
Carolina Faulkner hits another homerun. Not only does she write excellent forced submission reads but hot domestic discipline books as well. This is one of the hottest DD stories. You never know what you’re going to get when you put out a help wanted ad. A sexy, dominant, alpha with a strong spanking hand is not on top of Annie’s list but Quinn is just the man to change her mind and redden her bottom. I really enjoyed listening to this audio. The narration is done brilliantly. Emotions came through without effort. I was sucked in from the first chapter and turned on from the strong dominance that came out in the narrators voice through inflections and emotions. I would definitely recommend this audio for a hot, hot, hot listen.

This book was a sweet telling of love after heartbreak and the process in which they had to learn to trust again. The Male was very old fashioned and the Woman hard headed and convinced she needed no one. Together, they find what they need in each other. It was a cute story.
The narration and production was great!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. My review is based on my expectations, not in comparaison with another book. This a good story. Annie and Quinn (an alpha man with an old fashioned mindset) are so sweet. The story is easy to anticipate but it’s good! The narration is very good and easy to listen.

I truly enjoyed this story. It's felt sweet to me in the way the characters fell in love. Tom did a wonderful job in bringing life to the characters and I enjoyed his narration. Must warn though that I did not enjoy the protagonist views on spanking women and those scenes but otherwise a great story.

Annie and Quinn both have their own agenda. Annie is determined not to lose her family ranch to a man. But the bank may have first dibs on it soon. Quinn answers an ad and never thought the outcome of that would be a romance. Quinn is determined to care for Annie whether she wants it or not.
These two head strong people make the story fun, light and surprising. I really enjoyed the sweetness of it all and would like to follow them in another book.
Tom Jordan is a wonderful narrator. His voice is easy to listen to. He made the characters perfectly distinguishable. It was easy to get lost in this sweet romance listening to Mr Jordan narrate it. He brought Annie and Quinn to life. His narration of their emotions and attitudes truly made the story a fun read or listen.

Nice story of a rejected ranch hand finding love with his also rejected lady boss.. he’s old fashioned, and believes the “Man of the house” rules... she eventually gives in to his ways and they fall in love... some of the wording of the sex scenes are of beginner (into romance sex) ways... nothing too rough, or vulgar.. so I recommend for those who haven’t gotten into the more detailed sex scenes... Tom Jordan is an excellent narrator for this , and I hope to hear him in other works in the future... sexy deep voice will keep you a tuned to the story..
thanks for the opportunity to listen...

What a combination Carolyn Faulkner has put together with this book...a modern day, Beauty and the Beast Western that is sure to not disappoint. This is my favorite fairy tale and Faulkner has given it a new twist! Annie Cavanaugh advertises for help for her failing ranch. Quinn Rideout answers this ad, and the story begins. It's refreshing to have a story where the alpha male really believes in the old tradition of the "men take care of things". Quinn definitely feels strongly about keeping Annie safe(her punishments prove that!) and he will do whatever it takes to make sure Annie is taken care of. Annie while she feels safe with Quinn, she is not sure that she is ready to give up all that she has worked for to be with him. She just has to take that leap of faith and understand that she isn't giving anything up, but gaining a partner in all they do together. A little spicey, you can't go wrong with this one!
Narrating this book, Tom Jordan gives a wonderful performance. His baritone voice gives Quinn the warmth needed and the steely tones when called for. This is my first book narrated by him, and will definitely be looking for more in the future.

When Annie a Texan rancher. She needs help so hires Quinn Rideout. To help save her ranch.
Quinn builds computers, a hard worker, overprotective and bound to keep Annie save. Even if he has to spank her every day. To keep her safe and healthy.

This book is a great love story about two people finding love again after a not so impressive first marriage. Do you does a pretty good job on the different characters to distinguish between them. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good love story. I enjoyed the book.
