Publisher's Summary

Lainie Capshaw has been servicing injured cowboys long enough to know that a charming Western drawl combined with a fine physical form doesn't mean you should fall for a man. As a sports therapist, she travels the rodeo circuits patching up riders - and fending off their sweet-talking, swaggering advances.

So no one is more surprised than Lainie when she finds herself involved with not one, but two men on different circuits: Hank Lawson, a bullfighter, and Kyle Gilchrist, a bull rider trying to stage a comeback. Lainie feels guilty about her two-timing, but it doesn't keep her from doubling her fun - until Hank catches her with Kyle. She's shocked that Hank isn't mad. She's more shocked to learn that Hank and Kyle are hometown buddies. But when the men offer to share her - in every way - she knows that both of them are going to try to win her, body and soul. Now it's up to Lainie to choose the one man who can give her the ride of her life.

" Corralled is titillating to say the least and definitely best read in private.... The author has written a very sweet and charming romance in which the lucky protagonist experiences real growth and gets to live out her every fantasy." ( Romantic Times)

If you love James' style...

As a fan of the Rough Rider series, I knew the writing style. I have waited for an audio version of James' books. Although the narrator did take a little getting comfortable with, the story was a great mix of the erotic scenes I have come to expect (great Alpha-cowboy with a surprising gentlemen side) and a story of a self-discovery.

Sex, sex, more sex, then some more.....

Note to self: Always read reviews and CLOSELY before purchasing. lol
Love cowboys, love romances, like steamy cowboy romances. lol
I think for the style of book it is, it must be very good ... so I was generous with my ratings. But, really, you need to understand it's all about sex. lol I personally prefer a little more plot, a little more romance and while I do like steamy, I'm not into the hardcore books ... which in my little naive world, this is. lol But, hey! Thank goodness there's a style for all of us, so enjoy some good cowboy sex scenes. lol!!!

Ouch...... it was hot hot hot.

I loved this book, it had a good plot with 2 hunky Rodeo riders sharing one woman and you just didn't quite know how it was going to end. There were graphic multi-partner sexual encounters and I do think that this should have been put under the Erotica category - so if you don't like a heavy dose of sex with your romance then don't get this book.

I have already downloaded the rest available so far in this series and will check out any of her other books.

Worth the credit? Yes definitely, I am so happy I found this series.

Plotless w/little character development. Boring.

This was my first book by this author. Unfortunately I had several problems with this story. If there was any plot other than who she ended up with, it didn't interest me. There was little development of the characters so I couldn't really invest in them. The characters did not seem very interested in each other with Hank and Melanie knowing so little about each other after 6 months of dating. Although I don't usually have a problem with language, I found the way they spoke to her, especially in the sex scenes, really crass. There was a coldness to the sex that lacked romance and intimacy. It also irritated me that her personality seemed incongruous; normally "take charge" type person but submissive in the bedroom. I also am not into men who are "macho" finding they hide a lot of insecurity behind that facade. IMO, real strength in any person is found in gentleness and the ability to be intimate and vulnerable. I fast-forwarded through the sex scenes because I found little substance to them and it got repetitive, cold and boring. That is unusual for me because in most other books, I usually enjoy the steamy parts. By the middle of the publication, I gave up on any improvement, skipped to the last chapter to discover who she ended up with (although I found I didn't really care)and was glad to be done. I am just sorry I stuck it out that long.

In conclusion , I can see I am in the minority in my review. That doesn't bother me because I recognize that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that includes me as well. It just depends on what a person likes but IMO there is a difference between porn and romantic erotica.

Two Hot Cowboys

Would you listen to Corralled again? Why?

The story was great, the performance was very good ~ I usually have a hard time getting used to different the different voices the narrator gives to characters but Scarlet Chase did a great job. The story was great and at times I found myself hoping Lannie would never make a decision.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Kyle was my favorite character, he had an open bad boy attitued that made me fall in love with him.

Which scene was your favorite?

Too many to be specific!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I had a reaction - one I should not tell you about.

Any additional comments?

The romance scenes qualify this as erotic!

I love Lorelei James books

Lorelei is great at telling a story. You have to like this type of writing to love her books. Her Rough Rider Seies were great books also. I have been waiting for audio to get her books.

Narrator

Narrator voice sounds too old for characters' ages. The voice Doesn't do the story justice

2 Cowboys are better than 1

I enjoyed this story about Lanie, who was dating 2 cowboys on the rodeo circuit and didn't apologize for it. When the guys met and realized they were childhood friends, Lanie refused to choose between the 2 friends, leaving the men to decide between sharing and leaving.

The plot was mostly a light-hearted and romantic but the sex scenes did not reflect the personalities and relationship between Lanie and her cowboys Hank and Kyle. The boys were caring, supportive and respectful when clothed but became domineering and aggressive when aroused, particularly during threesomes.

I wish that Ms. James didn't confuse erotic and sensual with degrading and humiliating; vulgar language with steamy. It was disappointing that Lanie lost her feisty spirit and independence the moment she fell in love.
