Good story, but abrupt ending

I really enjoyed the book, and overall the audiobook too. The story was really good, and quite emotional in places. And I really liked the characters. The end of the book seemed a little rushed, given how detailed the rest of it was. But I understand deadlines.
Unfortunately I just couldn't believe the narrators, either one of them. Carrie just made Olivia seem way too perky and happy go lucky for a person who was supposed to be driven and serious and who was so focused on her career that she completely put her lovelier on the back burner. I mean she did a good job getting the ideas and emotions across (thanks to the writing), but it just wasn't that believable.
But Carrie was better than David. He did the whole book in this kinda weird breathy voice. It was like he was trying too hard the whole time. Maybe trying to come across as sexy, but it was just too over the top. The only character that maybe sounded remotely like he was written...probably because he didn't say much or ever chuckle, was Kane. I mean really, what the hell was that "Heh, heh, heh" thing he was doing?!?! And for a "bada$$" millionaire grump, he made Cash sound really whiny and needy when he talked to Olivia. Just sooo not in Cassian March's character!
I think it could have been wonderful with different narrators...probably better than the written book. The narrators did a good job of not letting their first words get cut off. That happens way too often in audiobooks, but only a couple times throughout this whole book.

Love K.M. Scott

I read the Club X books and loved them so I couldn't wait till the audible versions came out. the only negative in my opinion was the female narrator I didn't particularly like her voice.

Narrating is painful....

What disappointed you about Temptation?

The dialogoue is fairly weird. It's kind of too lame for its's raunchy genre at times, but with a touch of creepy old guy over the dialouge in combination with the male narrator that sound like an old uncle trying to "get in with the new 50 shades vibe". It kind of makes me blush, but in a bad way. Like that uncle (narrator) trying something to be young and hip but it is obviously not his wheel house at all. Creepy!

What could K. M. Scott have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Really don't know how much it is the narrators that make it a total failure, or if the text is so lame it takes a special voice to make it work ( Sebastian York perhaps).

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Carrie Piper and David Drummond ?

Sebastian York and almost anyone sounding younger and more modern.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Disappointment, embarrasment.

Any additional comments?

Do not pay for this in any other way than a paperback.
