Publisher's Summary

She was the nanny. He was the boss. They both knew things would end badly.

Five minutes after walking through the door, I hated the sexy Greydon West. I wondered why he’d ever had kids in the first place. The broody, single father of two didn’t know the meaning of the word fun. The only things my regimented, hot-tempered boss seemed to care about were his ridiculous spreadsheets. But for some reason, his prickly, stiff-mannered disposition made me curious about what was hidden beneath that exterior. Then, one day I stumbled upon the key that unlocked the mystery of Dr. West.

That was when the sexy dreams began...the same ones that awakened me every night. And that kiss we shared...biggest mistake ever. I knew nothing good would result from it. But I couldn’t seem to stay away because I was already in too deep. I should’ve listened to those alarms in my head, but I ignored them. Which was why I found my heart about to erupt in flames, and there wasn’t a damn thing I could do about it.

Grating voices

The story itself was fine - not great, not horrible, just ok. The voice work was soooo bad. The voice for the child was so nerve grating and the female's voice was odd and offputting.

DNF

It started okay and then just like that, he kisses her one day and then they are dirty talking already. Did I miss a chapter or two about the changes in their feelings which could explain the kiss from nowhere? The MCS early couple scenes felt so matter-of-fact it felt blah. So I DNF.

Didn’t feel like romance genre

This story had potential but there were too much focus on the children than romance. I really wanted to connect with the main characters but it came slow and by the end, I still didn’t feel it. Narrators were good. Although female voice was older than 25 years old. I gave 4 for performance because of Noah. I love his voice.

Audio ruins the storyline :(

I really wish I had ordered this as a paperback or kindle edition. It ruined the story for me to listen to the two different voices. Especially when it came to the different personalities. The guy just couldn’t capture Marin’s personality as he was reading her parts. They sounded just like his wife’s parts. I just really didn’t like it. The story was “okay” but really really needs work. The main focus was on the children when it should have been on the Marin & Grey. So when it came time for the romance, it just wasn’t there. I have 3 hours left of the book and I’m not finishing it.

Smh

Started of great , funny even then it went to shit! Narrators made it soo much worse. I was sooo excited. Got to chapter 9 and yeah not enough character progression for me to invest 6 More hours of my time to it. Moving on 🥴

Loved it!!!

I loved this book, she just knows how to write to where it hits people’s ❤️ stings (no pun intended) because he’s a cardiologist. Lol but I’m seriously going to read ALL of her books, for sure!!!💋😘

The narration ruined the story

I was really disappointed in the selection of narrators. The were very bland. This book had the potential for a great performance. It’s such a missed opportunity.

Just Awful

Story had potential but developed poorly. Dr. West is 41 and Marin is 26. Marin behaves as if she is lost in 9th grade. What's that about? Major regression there. The doc treats her with unbelievable rudeness and fires her but somehow forgets it?
The narrators were truly AWFUL. Got to chapter 10 and I couldn't stand it any longer. Perhaps reading the book would be better but not by much.
