The ending

Which character – as performed by David Stuart – was your favorite?

Grace

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Any additional comments?

You never knew what was going to happen, hum drum books that you do not even have to hear all of are boring.

Worst Narrator

I love the Quinn brothers and this series and the narrator completely butchered it for me. I'm going to try the 3rd one with Phillip since it's a new narrator and hopefully it won't be too terrible. Phillip sounds like a girl right now....

I LOVE This Series - Great Book 5 Stars

What was one of the most memorable moments of Rising Tides?

*

In the second installment of the series we are focused on Ethan, his past and it the similarities to young Seth.

Grace is a young mother who is doing any job she can to make a life for her young daughter. She is the housekeeper at the family home (Ethan and brothers) by day & barmaid/waitress by night.

Grace and Ethan have known each other forever and she has always had a thing for him & him for her. Ethan doesn't want to think about Grace, as she is quite a bit younger than him. This is a great romance story.

However, it is much more than a simple romance – actually complex romance. Much of the focus is on Ethan's life before he met the Quinn family and they rescued him from a horrible past. But because of that past he does not believe he is deserving or can care or love anyone.

Great narration – feminine female, male toddler, 12-year-old & elderly man are all done with near perfection.

I absolutely love this series. I just bought the last two!.

Notes: Description of sex, few cusses, the subject of child molestation runs throughout the book as characters try to deal with past.

Credit worthy/$ : Absolutely on either. I can to continue with the series but at the same time I want to take my time because I don't want to series to and. Does that make sense?

If you found this review helpful, please select yes below this text. Thank you!
Absolutely Loved this series!

I keep thinking that each book of Nora's cannot get any better than the last & not wanting the books to end! I have found her research, details & of course deep understanding of each characters situation profound! Nora has a great talent of bringing each character to life so that we have the feeling that we are experiencing all the emotions of love, hate, fear, grief etc. hopefully to move on to forgiveness of ourselves or others with at least an understanding !
Thank you so much Nora Roberts!
David Stuart's reading had the brilliance at bringing all the characters to life! WOW! Thank you David!

Easy Listening

The Quinn Brothers series follows the usual romance format but in this case the main characters do have a bit of an edge. All three male protagonists had a harsh start in life and suffered childhood violence, sexual abuse or gang life. Brought together by their adopted father's death and his dying wish that they care for a fourth adopted brother, a ten year old boy named Seth who none of them know well, Cam, Ethan and Phil must work together to restructure their lives and prevent Seth being returned to life of negligence and cruelty. Along the way they must they must clear their father's name and, as befitting of a Nora Roberts novel, negotiate happiness with the love of their lives.

The narrator's easy drawl adds to the tone of the story and although the characters are involving this is very easy listening. No major twist coming your way, everything does end happily ever after (it's a romance novel after all)!

Be warned though, no mysteries are laid to rest until the third book Inner Harbor and the Quinn Brothers swear - a lot! You may want to use headphones for this one!
