Maggie Concannon is a glassmaker whose exquisite works are more than mere objects of beauty: they are reflections of her own true nature. One man has seen the soul in her art, and vows to help this complex woman build a lucrative career.

When gallery owner Rogan Sweeney comes to Maggie's isolated studio, her heart is enflamed by their fierce attraction - and her scarred past is slowly healed by a gentle and forgiving love.

I really loved this book, but I wish they offered the third book in this series Born in Shame. I might have to look elsewhere to purchase it.

Great book

The difference between a good book and a really bad book is often the reader . It was very clever to pick a male voice with an Irish accent.

Would you consider the audio edition of Born in Fire to be better than the print version?

Yes - because Fiacre Douglas makes the books great.

What other book might you compare Born in Fire to and why?

This trilogy starts off without anything out of the ordinary - then in Born in Ice we start with whispers of memories of a time and place prior and a link to the land - but in Born in Shame it goes right out there with some circle of stone memories of past lives. So it may compare to other stories in that way - but to me the series stands on its own. Fire and Ice are my two favorites in the series - but what makes it a five star rating is the narrator. He makes it all work.

What about Fiacre Douglas’s performance did you like?

A tale told in Ireland where the characters sound like they belong. Strong lead men and woman characters performed equally and believably well. It is worth listening to his voice. He is my favorite male narrator.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Hmmm...

Any additional comments?

Please - someone else select this great talent to perform your audio book. : )
