Publisher's Summary

I never thought I could love a monster. Then I met Machi.

I shouldn't have been there that night. I shouldn't have seen that man die - or the face of his killer. Every part of me wanted to run and hide, to escape and forget what I saw.

But then he caught me. He stole me and pushed me into his world. He said if I listened to him, he could give me what I wanted...my freedom.

He forgot to mention that freedom comes with a price. I'm going to be auctioned off and there's nothing I can do to change that.

He wants me to believe that he isn't the bad guy. But I know better. Except...his hard jaw and full lips are hard to ignore, his voice makes my heart flutter, and his hands - his hands are purely toxic, unfurling my body with one touch.

He's a monster, and monsters lie. They lurk in the dark and rain hell on your soul.

I never thought that loving one was possible. Until I met him.

Note from the author: Pushed is a full-length, dark romance novel with no cliffhanger. This book has material that could make some uncomfortable. It's gritty and raw in the best way, but you won't know until you step in and listen to it for yourself.

A dark, but not too dark story

Any additional comments?

This was an enjoyable listen. Usually I find parts of audiobooks that seem to drag or not hold my attention. This story was well paced and did not slow too much. Liked the characters and liked the way their story was told. The narrators were also good. Always love Aiden Snow - great voice! Hope to purchase more books from this author.

Worst MC ever

I really wanted to like this book but I just couldn’t, the heroine is just so freaking stupid. Her thought process on how she should act is all kinds of dumb. The entire first few hours of the story are literally her fighting her kidnappers orders of eat this food, and don’t talk around the REALLY bad people and for some reason she doesn’t listen. It’s like whatever a normal person would do she does the opposite and it’s infuriating. Like I get fight if the orders were painful and sexual but he literally like orders her to take off a blindfold or to eat and the book spends ten minutes in her head of why she won’t, it makes no sense.

I also just want to point out that while the female narrator is okay the male narrators voice is to gravelly and low to understand.
