Taunt Her

This book🎧is my first from Caitlyn Dare and it was good but not great. The narrators were all wrong for this book! Does anyone really believe they sound like teenagers?🙄 Maybe Ace could pass but definitely not Remi! Hopefully book#2 is better. Is it worth the credit? Yes, FYI: this book was free.

Exciting Characters

What a compelling story. Well, half of a story, as this one ends on a cliffhanger. There are still so many questions to be answered. But this book is where we get to know the characters, especially Ace & Remi. And I have to say, I love them both.

Ace is obviously morally grey and makes a lot of poor decisions. Which makes him so much more well-rounded as a character and far more fun to read about. Not to mention how ridiculously hot he is! Whew! And surprisingly patient and considerate to boot, which I wasn’t expecting. That’s how you know he’s a decent guy deep down.

As for Remi, I absolutely adored her! She may be a prep school girl, but she’s not stuck up at all. Even more impressive, she fights back! She was not tolerating anything, even from the toughest guys. She also swears, which I love and don’t read often enough. I liked the twins too, so I’m definitely going to be devouring the entire series so I can get their stories as well.

if you hate cliffhangers, buy book one and two at the same time.

I was looking for something different that I haven't really read before. I don't typically enjoy reading about young people, particularly high school kids. it makes me feel a little weird. but I'm glad (SPOILER) nothing big technically happens til the characters are overage. I also enjoyed that the same characters are given two books each (spoiler?) rather than the typical one.

Taunt Her by Caitlyn Dare interesting read. Higschool age kids with family drama. A good book to listen to. Cliffhanger.
