Besides, I'm never in one place long enough to worry about tomorrow. That is, until the band decided to take an extended hiatus in our hometown. That's when I met Melody Sullivan.

I'm a reporter, and I've got the best assignment in the world - get dirt on the hottest country star on the charts, Keith Perkins. The sexy beast who rocks those tight jeans like nobody's business. I'm supposed to learn all of his Dirty Laundry, his deepest and darkest secrets. Without sleeping with him. Easy enough, right? Wrong. I mean, just looking at him makes me wonder what those big, rough hands could do to me. One clever disguise later, I'm deep undercover as the firm's newest broker, simultaneously gathering intel and spouting off stock tips like a boss. Go me, right? Sure, it sounds good on paper, but there's a catch: the actual boss. Chief Executive Panty-melter Jack Holt is cocky. Infuriating. And one smoldering look has me ready to violate every rule in the employee handbook. Thank God my assignment has an expiration date. Because falling for my brother's best friend and business partner is a lose-lose proposition. Right?

I knew something was wrong the second she walked in the door tonight; I just couldn't put my finger on what it was. Same hair color. Same legs. Same face. Except...I look harder. It's her twin sister, and they've switched places on me.

The first time I met Jade Jameson, I lost my words and accidentally dropped a beer bottle, smashing it to the ground. The Broadway star sister of my brother's wife had paid us a surprise visit on Christmas. Quite simply, she was the most beautiful woman I'd ever seen; I was mesmerized. I'd made a fool of myself, and to make matters worse, my girlfriend was standing right there when it happened. Jade went back to New York, and we didn't cross paths again for a year - until one night when a Facebook notification lit up my screen, setting off a chain of events that would change my life.
Dear Isaiah, eight months ago, you were just a soldier about to be deployed and I was just a waitress, sneaking you a free pancake and hoping you wouldn't notice that my gaze was lingering a little too long. But you did notice. We spent one life-changing week together before you left, and we said goodbye on day eight, exchanging addresses at the last minute. I saved every letter you wrote me, your words quickly becoming my religion. But you went radio silent on me months ago, and then you had the audacity to walk into my diner yesterday and act like you'd never seen me in your life.
Thirty days ago, my boss, Mr. Wolf of Wall Street, came to me with an offer I couldn't refuse: Sign my name on the dotted line and pretend to be his fiancée for one month. If I agreed, he would let me out of my employment contract with a "very generous" severance package. The rules were pretty simple: No intimate kissing, no actual sex. Just pretend to love each other for the press, even though I've secretly wanted to knock that sexy smirk off his face since the first day we met.

Embroiled in a bitter divorce, she's threatened with losing everything. It wasn't supposed to be like this.... I wasn't supposed to be boyfriendless, homeless, and jobless at 28. And I most definitely wasn't supposed to hit Hollywood's resident bad boy Gabriel Evans with my car and break his foot. Now I'm stuck in his apartment, taking care of him while he's incapacitated. Living with the hottest guy in Hollywood, who I've had a crush on forever, doesn't sound like a chore, right? Wrong. Gabriel Evans is rude and crude and drinks way too much, and as soon as his foot is healed I'm out of here. So why do I keep forgetting to check the classifieds?
Jake McKallister might have been a rock star, but he was no ordinary one. Surviving an unspeakable crime as a young teen had shaped him into a guarded workaholic, and he now lived his life trying to forget. If it hadn't been for music and the redemption he found through it, he might not have survived. Career success came easily for him. Personal connections did not.
Four years ago, I had it all. But one mistake cost me everything. It cost me her. Anna. Now, I've got the money and the fame. And the emptiest life on the planet. Then I see her again, backstage after one of our shows. And that's when I knew - she's mine. She'll always be mine. My second chance is here. And this time I won't blow it.
I was not familiar with this author but I’m so glad I took a chance! The story is well written and the characters well developed. The story sucked me in and kept me hooked all the way to the conclusion.
Narration was outstanding! One of the best I have heard in awhile. You could feel the emotion coming from the characters.
This is a story about second chances. Sean is a drummer in a band and Anna wants to go to law school. This book is a standalone. The story takes place in Texas. Outstanding book all the way around! I’m looking forward to listening to more books by this talented author & narrators!

I was blown away by the performance of the narrators in this book. They added so many emotions one could hear in this book. I loved both of their distinguished character’s voices, especially Willow.
This book was so well written and performed. I haven’t read many books by Jayne Frost before, but I am definitely adding her to my one-click purchase list. I loved how she tied in the title of the book into one of the heartfelt conversations between the main characters. This book is original and a standalone listen. I hope some of the other band members get their stories. The setting of Austin and Waco was so well done, along with the imagery throughout the book. I requested this review copy Audiobook and have voluntarily written this review.

This audiobook was gifted to me for an honest review.
Honestly, one of the best stories I've heard in a long time. That includes those from favorite best selling authors. I can't say the plot was totally new but the execution and twists were perfect as Sean and Anna navigated their way through a thunderstorm of emotions and roadblocks. I found my sympathy balancing between them as both made mistakes and had false misgivings. Jayne Frost was able to override the fact that I hadn't listened to the previous books and give me enough information to understand the backgrounds of Sean's band members. The only questionable relationship that wasn't given closure was that of Anna and her best friend Payton. In the end, the person I feel the most disdain for is Logan, Sean's best friend. I know there's a lot of pain behind his aloofness but Geez, he could have been more helpful! I'm betting he'll be the center of the next installment.
Jacob Morgan was Sean. Period. Absolutely the best voice choice. And ditto that for Elena Wolfe. Both are top-notch narrators and prove it in this audiobook.
PUMPING BOTH THUMBS UP HIGH!

I love the 6th Street Series, having read every book. But this is the first audio I've purchased. I cried. Big fat ugly tears. This story is so moving. At first I was intent on reading, because that is my pattern (read a little, listen a little). But these narrator just sucked me in. The brought Sean and Anna to life in a way I couldn't imagine. And don't get me started on little Willow. As for the review, Missing From Me is the most true to life story second chance love story I've heard in this genre. It was so real. Sean's character...what can I say? He was flawed and damaged but his love for Anna shined through the entire time. This couple so deserved their HEA. I can't wait until the next book. I've already ordered it. Jayne Frost is a fantastic storyteller.

First let me start off by saying how much I loved the narration to this audiobook. I am a huge fan of both these narrator’s they brought these character’s to life in my ear’s!
And let’s be honest, Jacob Morgan voice is … LUSH!
On to the author this was actually a first for me by this author and I really don’t think it will be the last. She has a way of keeping you engaged even when for me the drama was too much.
I am not a fan of no communication and I hate when character’s don’t communicate! But that’s just me. And that is the only part of this book I didn’t really like. I lovvvvvvvved the connection all the character’s had. Logan is a character I would like to see more of.
I really fell in love with Willow she is the sweetest! I connected most with Anna, having a child who has asthma is the most scariest thing ever. Especially when they are young and don’t know to use the inhaler’s themselves when their breathing heavy or hard. Those feeling of having to be strong in the face of your child because you don’t want them to panic, yeah that is H – E – L - L…
So I very much identified with Anna on that front. And there were times I didn’t really like her and that’s ok that to me is what makes second chance romances so good. You don’t have to like all the character’s all the time.
I didn’t much like Sean throughout the whole story but he grew on me and by the end I wanted to have all his babies!
So if you are in the mood for a hunky rock star second chance romance this is the book for you!
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Of the 4 books in this series, this is by far my favorite. I read all 4 books before I listened to this one. I was not expecting the emotional roller coaster that I experienced with Sean & Anna's story when I read the book. I experienced that same emotion, and more, when listening to the audio. Jacob Morgan & Elena Wolfe ARE Sean & Anna. As soon as the first words were spoken, I felt the lump in my throat, and it stayed there until the end. We all make decisions we regret, at some point in our lives. We don't always get the chance to fix them. Knowing there was an HEA at the end got me through their story. And oh, what a story. While all of these books can be read as stand-alones, to truly appreciate Jayne's writing, I recommend the entire series--in order. It gets better with each book!!!

I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom. This was my first experience with Jayne Frost as an author, but I was interested in giving her work a try since I already love Elena Wolfe and Jacob Morgan as narrators. Jayne didn't disappoint and has me now interested in the rest of the series. I had already gotten book 1 free from Kindle on Amazon, but haven't gotten around to reading it, and it's not on audiobook yet, so I will have to find some time to read it or hope it gets released to audio soon. The 2nd book in the series is on audiobook but is narrated by a narrator I don't know. I listened to the preview and aren't sure I'll like him to listen to or not, so may have to get the ebook instead. Unfortunately, the last book in the series isn't on audiobook either, so I may just have to read it too, even though I'm a primarily audiobook listener. Elena Wolfe and Jacob Morgan did an excellent job performing these characters and bringing them to life like I would expect from them. You can bet that if you have great narrators like these perform your audiobooks, I'm most likely to give your work a try if your an unknown author to me. I loved this story and the characters and can't wait to experience more from Jayne Frost.

Where does Missing from Me rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This was the first time I’ve ever read/listened to a book and I’ll get into my evaluation of this experience in a bit. But first, let me tell you what I thought of the book. This story had my stomach tight with a bundle of nerves right to the end. I was anxious, frustrated, angry, amused, happy, and a whole whack of other emotions I won’t bore you with. If you’re looking for an easy romance, you won’t find that here. This was an authentic look into what it is to want to realize your dreams while trying to hold onto your love and understanding that sometimes both at one time aren’t possible. It’s about unbelievable second chances and finding out that love blooms even when you’re not around to nurture it. It’s about music, celebrity, drama, regret, hope and love. So. Much. Love!
Sean tested my patience. I went from hating him to loving him to hating him to loving him again. I’m sure you’ve experienced those types of characters too. The ones who do such stupid things, don’t properly communicate, hurt the ones they love, continue to do stupid things, all while making you swoon at their internal thoughts. Yup, that was Sean. My emotions also went through the wringer with Anna. She drove me insane!! And the secret she kept almost flushed my respect for her down the toilet. That is not a secret to keep. EVER!! In the end, I loved these guys. You know the author’s good when she has you going through so much angst right along with the people she’s created. And there was a heck of a lot of angst.
Okay, so how did my first experience with an audiobook go? I’m still on the fence. I really enjoyed the male narrator’s voice, even when he made it go soft for Anna’s part. I wasn’t a fan of the female narrator’s voice though. It sounded a bit robotic, to be honest. And I didn’t like how either of them did a baby voice. What the heck was that? Also, it took me far longer to listen to this book than it did for me to read it. I get the allure of audiobooks. I understand that it frees your hands and eyes for other things. However, it didn’t really work for me. Loved the story, but it’s a ‘meh’ on the listening part.

This story was full of so much angst and emotion I found myself close to tears often. But it's just because the story was so well written and the characters were real. The emotion was real. And the narrators helped really bring it to life. I heard the happiness, sorrow and everything in between in their voices. I will absolutely be looking for more from this author and these narrators.
