loved this book

Mackenzie's Pleasure was a great book I liked Mackenzie's mountain but this was different much more on the edge of your seat , a good suspense and love story that kept me coming back for more, I liked the high paced speed and a good amount of romance,
If you liked Mackenzie's mountain than you will love this one I hope that Audible gets all five books from the series because I cant get enough of this series and I hope that you love it to
Have a great read

love every minute

this is one of my favorite books, I've listened to this book so many times I have lost count. It is a great story. I only wish the author would do the story of Chance on tape.

The MacKenzies's

Linda Howard brings her characters to life. As I listen to the book, I can picture what is happening. Her books keep me at the edge of my seat and I hope she writes more about the MacKenzie's. After all, seems to be a very large family.

Thank you Linda.

Steamy

This is the first time I've listened to this book and it was enjoyable. I think Zane's voice should have had a lower pitch, but other than that, the narration was good.

Mackenzie's Pleasure

After the 100's of books I've read, Zane has to be my favorite hero. He's everything we look for in a hero. Barrie is one lucky girl. Being able to listen to this book is a big plus. Always on my ipod and listen to it often. Love this book.

Excellent

The story is suspenseful, erotic, and unexpected. Great mix in a story. The production is also very well done. Lots of twists and turns to keep things interesting.
Enjoy!

My first Mackenzie story!

This was my first MacKenzie story and it was just great. I will probably read other books in the series if they are all as enjoyable as this one.
This is Zane's story. Due to an accident during practice Zane's squad is down two SEALS, which means the commander has to go in with his team to rescue Barrie who has been kidnapped by Lybians. During the escape Zane is shot and Barrie is taken away by her Ambassador father's men, separating her from Zane as he was taken away for surgery.
Months later after being stymied by her father, and Zane is finally well enough the couple are finally reunited.
Barrie and Zane both realize the kidnapping doesn't add up, there was never a ransom demand made. Without giving the rest of the story away, lets just say the action and love making was fantastic. A worthwhile read. Enjoy!

Narrator was pretty good, he is a skillful reader.

Kathy

I don't really ask a lot of these kind of books. I happily suspend reason, logic and a room temperature IQ, joyfully accepting every hair-brained story-line the author cranks out just to listen to the sexy bits.

I admit that I can believe that the Lady looks like a supermodel, has 4 PhDs and is a 29 year old virgin. I can believe that the Hero is a larger than life hunk who has saved the world from terrorists, is a natural warrior who is on a first name basis with many world leaders, who just wants to settle down and have babies and with the right girl.

I will cheerfully ignore that the main characters have been wading neck deep in sewage for days, haven't bathed or brushed their teeth in weeks, met each other five minutes before plunging into deep doo doo, and are still so hot for each other they not only accomplish the main sex act but also other selected sexy asides.

Yep, I confess. Even when the sexy bits are humanly impossible and all too predictable, I still like to listen to them every now and then

However, I do get MORE than a little irritated when the narrator is all wrong for the read. If the Hero is a big, macho man, alpha male with superhuman strength and stamina the voice should reflect that. It should not sound like a guy who has never lifted anything heavier than a chess piece NOR done anything more dangerous than that. And the voice should not sound like a woman in the 2nd stage of labor --- a growling female narrator is not a good substituted for a deep male voice (as in McKenzie's Mountain! Geez Louize! What were they thinking?)

The short version: if you're gonna talk dirty, do it like ya mean it or just go some place else and make some animalistic sounds deep in the throat. <S>
