Publisher's Summary

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Christine Feehan "knows how to weave a tale of action, suspense and paranormal passion" (Romance Junkies). Now, she’s back - and the New Orleans nights have never felt so torrid or so dangerous....

From a tough stint in the armed forces to stalking the unknown as a bayou cop, leopard shifter Remy Boudreaux has been served well by his uncanny gifts. And right now, New Orleans could use a homicide detective like Remy. A serial killer is loose, snatching victims from the French Quarter with pitiless rage and unnatural efficiency. But something else is drawing Remy into the twilight - a beautiful jazz singer bathed night after night in a flood of bloodred neon.

Sultry, mysterious, and as seductive as her songs, she’s luring Remy deeper into the shadows than he ever imagined. And as their passions swell, his keen instinct for survival will be challenged like never before. By a killer - and by a woman.

"Get Hungry"

What did you like best about Leopard's Prey? What did you like least?

I love the hero Remy and the heroine was very good too. This is the 2nd book as #1 is about Remy's sister. This was a good listen and I chose it due to the alfa male in Remy. Good references to "the Leopard". This is set in New Orleans, and I am not a fan of that accent.

If you’ve listened to books by Christine Feehan before, how does this one compare?

I own a few C.F. books, but she really does not inspire me to buy more. I own so many other authors/listens and she is not an auto download for me like Sandra Brown. In fact CF is way down on the list. The few books I own are due to the good reader only.

What does Karen White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I purchased book due to K.W. reading it. I enjoy all her work and purchased many books because she has reads them. Try her Julie James and Jill Shavis reads, GREAT listens

Did Leopard's Prey inspire you to do anything?

I would only get book1 on sale as this author is really not for me.

Any additional comments?

If you are a CF fan, then this is a great listen, I give her creativity an 8.

Remy Is A Detective But A Leopard Nevertheless!

I have read all of the Leopard People books and have liked each and every one. It is nice to know that all of the men in these books are going to be muscular, lean, and sexy. You can take it to the bank that any book by Christine Feehan will have you panting before the 3rd chapter. Remy reunites with a woman who he knew as a child (16 years younger than he) but no longer a child. She is a jazz singer who is returning to her home town of new Orleans where he is a detective. The plot progresses from there with a passionate feeling on both sides while seeking a murderer. This book didn't have as many sexy events as some of the earlier books but it was still compelling and a good read.

Karen White was good but I think a man's voice may have been better for the storyline.

Another Winner!

Christine's Leopard series just keep getting better and better.
I especially like the way she uses characters from former books in her current books.
The books are stand alone but also have a referral to former books.

disappointed

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I was disappointed in this book. Remmy's personality was too different from his introduction Saria and Drake's book. His character was too dark and callous.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Remmy should have been less harsh, especially when the relationship became physical.

What about Karen White’s performance did you like?

I think she did a much better job on the accents in this book. I enjoy listening to her.

What would have made this romance irresistible?

Remmy was too harsh.

Any additional comments?

Just that the characters need to be consistent. The is the first inconsistency I have noticed.
