Phenomenal, Short Romance Listen.

Bad Boys for Hire is an interesting story idea, and I love how so far the two stories are tied by the female characters. I didn't make the connection that Ken had a role in the first book, but laughed when they finally acknowledged it in the story.

Chris Abell does a phenomenal job as narrator on this story, and Rachelle Ayala told a great romantic, but often funny, story. The romance may be quick, but you can't fight instant love. She's able to bring about real situations that can weigh on a relationship, and show that there is hope if you can overcome your differences.

Another Great Series!

Another great book in the Bad Boys for Hire series! I was really excited to listen to this book since I listened to Nick and Carol's story first. This book just kind of put everything from Nick and Carol's story into place. Although I was able to follow Nick and Carol's story, Ken and Jolie's story filled in some of the blanks and caught me up on some of the stuff that was referenced in the 3rd book. As with the other two books, this was a great story. Although it was a shorter book it was sweet and fast paced. I like it when the story moves along and I also like it when there's not a lot of unnecessary drama going on. It was sweet how nice Ken was to everyone, especially Jolie and it was so nice that they were able to help each other with their insecurities and getting their confidence back. They really complimented each other which made them so perfect of one another. I'd recommend this book, it's so good and it'll hold your attention to the end.

The hijinks and humor gets real...

Would you consider the audio edition of Ken: Hawaiian Holiday to be better than the print version?

I loved the print version and I am a big fan of expanding my book collection, but the audiobook presented some stiff competition. I can't decide, so it's a good thing I saw the need to buy both.

What other book might you compare Ken: Hawaiian Holiday to and why?

Starting Over by Stacy Finz reminds me of Ken: Hawaiian Holiday. Picturesque scenery, addictive characters and charming tales of second chance romance.

What does Chris Abell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mr. Abell brings his humor to the table. He never takes himself too seriously and still manages to leave his mark on an already charming tale.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scheme just kept getting bigger and the laughs louder. No matter the location, this is a novel not to be missed.

Any additional comments?

Rachelle Ayala is an author that writes some of the sweetest and delightful tales. Whether ebook, printed or audio, the charm always shines through.

Worth the credit

I received this audible book for free in exchange for an honest review..:but I absolutely would have paid the credit for it. Chris Abel is an excellent narrator and this story was a beautiful mixture of sweet and sexy with quirky and imperfect but endearing main characters. Their unlikely, unplanned and unconventional love story moved fast and made me want more. Ken and Jolie are perfect for each other.

Heartwarming, funny, and romance

This book is part of a series and a standalone listen. I enjoyed the honeymoon without the groom. This book is a sweet love story that is totally original. I liked the fire and water comparison in this book. The narrator did an awesome performance. My review is not a synopsis of the book, but rather my opinion of it. I liked how the author was able to turn the pumpkin into the prince. I was given this review copy audiobook by the author, publisher and or narrator and have voluntarily written this review.

Quirky and quick

Cute little listen! I liked the story line and although it was quick the characters developed well. I could listen to Jolie's little quirks all day long.

A Honeymoon with out the Groom was Great!

This was such a fun book. I adored that he was the pumpkin that turned into her prince! A great guy that you just can't help but to fall in love with. It was really touching to see the relationship with his sister too.

Don't want to give anymore of it away but this is touching and fun with a nice dash of heat!

Worth a credit: YES - and a great beach read / listen!

NOPE. I LISTENED BUT… NOPE

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

Second chance for the Bad Boys For Hire, or BBFH, as I call them. There wasn’t any part of this that I found believable enough to enjoy. Examples: coincidence that Ken remembered Jolie from grade school, the ugly duckling turning into male escort/surfer dude, the food sensitivities that no one could possibly actually have, the instant devotion from Ken, and honestly, the sex scenes were so cheesy…. to name a few. I did, however, listen to the entire audiobook, which is more than I can say for every one I’ve started. That’s saying something.

Chris Abell did noble performance considering some of the lines he had to read. Bet he had a few chuckles!

No thumbs here, just a pout.

A fun romantic sexy story

Bad Boys for Hire Ken is book two in the series and can be read alone as both books are so different, but you would probably enjoy it even more if you read in order since there are recurring characters, and the beginning picks up with Jolie's wedding.

Jolie is stranded at the altar. Not only does her husband not show, everything that could go wrong does, but Jolie is also a tough woman and puts on a strong appearance at the reception.

Ken is hired to stand in as a groom at a wedding. It is an odd request but he needs the money, so he gathers is crippled sister up and heads to the venue, only to arrive too late. Nikki, Jolie's friend, meets him at the door and offers him a different job, to go to Hawaii and woo Jolie. When he sees Jolie, he takes the job but turns down the money except for a ticket for his sister for his personal reasons.

I loved this story. It is light-hearted and so funny at times, then there are serious notes as well. I adored Jolie. I can relate to her OCD, and Allergies, though mine is nothing compared to hers. I adored how Ken accepted Jolie as she was and worked so hard to get her to recognize him and fall for him. There are a few really steamy sex scenes. There are a few twists, and I loved the ending.

I loved this book but I think I like it on audio even better the narration is clear, well-paced and each character has a clear voice.
