From New York Times bestselling author of The Husband Hunt, The Heiress, and other beloved historical romances, comes Lynsay Sands’s An English Bride in Scotland, the first book in a new series set in the wilds of the Highlands.

Annabel had planned to become a nun. But when her mother arrives at the Abbey to bring her home to marry a Scottish laird—her runaway sister’s intended husband—her life takes a decidedly different turn.

And though Annabel isn’t the wife he’d planned for, strong, sexy Ross McKay is taken with his shy, sweet bride.

Annabel knows nothing about being a wife, running a castle—or the marriage bed. But her handsome new husband makes her want to learn. When Annabel’s life is threatened, Ross vows to move the highlands itself to save her and preserve the passion that’s only beginning to bloom.

An English Bride in Scotland by Lynsay Sands (Audio Edition)
Narrated by Mary Jane Wells
Series: Highlanders #1

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ This story felt like one of the highland romances that I first fell in love with. It was easy to love the characters, and easy to hate the enemies. Add in some witty dialogue, humour and sweet chemistry and I say it's a win! If you're a fan of Julie Garwood’s highland romances, I think you would enjoy this book.

Mary Jane Wells did a wonderful job on narration as always!

A Very Enjoyable Scottish Romance!

I did enjoy this story. The characters were fun and engaging as were the secondary characters. The story was one that made me want to keep listening and I really enjoyed the ending and was caught off guard at the route it took! The sex, however, was just way too much. I ffwd through it. I’m not anti sex I enjoy good sexual tension and the scenes that follow, but this was just rote, over the top, unsexy sex.

Narrator did a fine job. I would listen to her again. I bought this book on a $5 sale and while I enjoyed it enough to not return it, I am certainly glad I didn't waste a credit on it. $5 sale or 2 for 1 is fine thoug

Good enough

Wells is an absolutely stellar narrator. I would rather call her a voice actress. She does genders, accents, nuances and emotions so very well. The story is fun and humorous, and I loved the plucky and resourceful heroine EXCEPT for a couple of too stupid to live moments by the heroine. That was disappointing. I loved the easy going hero. Most everything about this book is enjoyable.

Perfect Narrator

Loved the story of Annabelle, Grant and her meddlesome, intruding mean sister. Love all Lynsay Sands books. Highly recommend this Audiobook!
