Publisher's Summary

I gasp as my body curls toward Brennus like a flower to the sun, for the pleasure of it. He holds me close to him. His nose grazes the length of my neck. He breathes me in. I feel the roar and rush of my heartbeat. I'm his toy; his energy streams into me. He winds the invisible key in my back, and the euphoria ratchets and coils inside of me.

Another wicked surge of energy flows from him into me. Pain. Pleasure. Bliss. My jaw unclenches as my lips part. I make a small, breathy sound as we dance. Brennus responds with something close to a growl. "Ye're killing me, mo chroí," he murmurs. His hand moves down my back, infusing me with a golden glow of power. My wings punch violently from me, tearing a hole in my day dress. They spread wide, like a red stain beyond my pale skin. I'm dancing now for the thrill of it. I follow his lead.

Favorite series ever

I have really loved reading all of the books in this series. I'm sad that this is the last book in the series, but it was just as good as the rest. For me, there was enough closure here to make me satisfied with the ending, but there is still enough of an opening if she wanted to write another book. If not, it leaves you with something to wonder about on your own, but not to the point where you feel like you don't have answers. Looking forward to whatever the author writes next! I haven't been able to find another series quite like this one.

Great book

I loved this book. I thought the voices were good and did not notice a difference that many people complained about. I'm curious to see if there will be another book after this one.

the naration for the last book was horrible

it was the same person but for some reason it was like the person reading forgot the last 3 books. the guys where just yelling the whole time it really ruined it for me Reed always had a cool calm tone even in bad aiuarions and zepher was tactical and sharp never yelling it just changed it to much already that involved with the characters and then then just changing them that much
...almost could not finish it

Awesome!!!

Absolutely Awesome!!! I loved it! Although it's supposed to be the last book in the series, it didn't seem that way at the end. It was still great and worth the wait!

So sad this series has come to an end.

If I could give this series unlimited stars I would!! My favorite series and characters. I hope someday Amy will write a spinoff! Iniquity tears your heart out and then mends it back together. Amazing job by Emily Woo Zeler as the narrator !!

War is Hell... so is leaving this series behind...

This was a worthy ending to a fabulous series. I thought Ms. Bartol did a great job explaining things and tying up loose ends. The only threads left hanging were of an angel and a Gancana. I would have liked to have seen those threads tied up better but overall I was thrilled with the conclusion. Anything less than the ending she gave to us would have left me feeling angry and cheated.

Many reviewers thought Brennus's "change" was a bit much but I thought it worked well and was fitting. I do wish the new characters that were introduced would have been hinted at in the earlier books but the reasons why they weren't were believable.

The battle into Sheol was climatic and emotional. At least for this reader.

I wish I could find another series as well written as this to listen too. I like the HEA and sometimes that is hard to find. I enjoy books with mystery, love triangles, and surprise twists that still make sense. This series had it all. I will be suffering "book hangover" for awhile...

Perfect ending

I so enjoyed the whole series. I'm hoping we see a new series evolve from this one. Fairies.

Drivel...absolute drivel

What would have made Iniquity better?

This entire series was nothing but a waste of time and an unending frustration. I hate myself for finishing it, but I'm a bit OCD and when I start something, it must be finished. But being forced to endure a story where the heroine is nothing but a sniveling, whining, indecisive brat was more than my patience could endure. Ms. Bartol, please, don't publish any more novels. Your heroines are damaging to any self-respecting female with a brain.

Evie never learns or grows in ANY way throughout the length of this series. She is just as weak and whiny as ever in the first book, where she lets some rude guy she doesn't even know insult her and order her around, all the while thinking of nothing but how beautiful and perfect he is. Then, whenever she isn't around said "perfect man," she loves and cherishes whatever male happens to be telling her that he loves her at the moment. Its sickening and pathetic.

There were redeeming characters in this horrifying monotony...Buns, for one, was refreshingly energetic and definitely knew her own mind. Anya too. I can't think of any others off the top of my head...most of the characters were unbearably one dimensional.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Nothing by Amy A. Bartol.

How could the performance have been better?

Calm down...the reader was so over dramatic about EVERYTHING. It was so hard to listen to when even changing your clothes seems to be a life-altering event.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Iniquity?

All of them. This series was so overly drawn out it exceeded the ridiculous. But then again, this series would have been unbearable no matter how long it was.

Not my favorite

I was a little disappointed with the wrap up (anyway everyone seems to think this is it) of a really great series. It seemed abrupt after all the hours spent listening to all the books (I listened to the first 4 again before I did Iniquity) I think I wanted more of a resolution If this is really the end, Brennus got a raw deal at the end after all he has changed. I guess a wanted for him to get someone too. And where is Molly?????
All in all though, this is a really great series. She left a lot hanging in the Cricket series too. I don't guess it all has to be cleaned up neatly Maybe we should be left with a few things to think about in the end
