if you're reading/listening to this after the Blood and Ash books you'll definitely see similar things with the characters. however this is a great story, and it's just as enjoyable!

Good main story, but...
This story has amazing potential so far, but the FMC is kind of stupid, which is irritating. I mean, it's hard to get into Loyola and be a trained killer, but is cool with waking up to a stranger spooning her? Not to mention, the secrecy is dumb.
Ren is kinda stalker-creepy and has cheesy lines that should have no traction, but gf is like all fluttery and swooning. *blech*
