Publisher's Summary

The Gallagher Brothers series from New York Times best-selling author Carrie Ann Ryan concludes with the final brother who thought he had everything to look forward to, and the one woman who can handle him.

Life isn't worth living if you don't fight to live. That's what Murphy Gallagher learned at a young age when cancer ravaged his body not once, but twice. Over the course of his survival, he lost his parents and his childhood, but he's been healthy for years and has become a man he hopes his family is proud of. But when his world tilts on its axis yet again, he'll have to learn what it means to fight not only the unknown but also his attraction to his best friend.

Tessa Stone works hard and plays harder. She's spent her life trying to figure out who she is in the present rather than looking back. Yet when she's forced into close proximity with Murphy, she'll have to not only be his rock but learn how to relax enough to maybe let him be hers, as well. But seduction doesn't stop when the world seems to, and close encounters of the naked kind might just be the first step in something much more complicated than either of them bargained for. Life, though, is for living, after all.

Life really is for the living

It is no secret that I’m a Carrie Ann Ryan fan. I own every book she’s written. I was especially touched by Murphy and Tessa’s story. This truly is a story about overcoming the past and the residual fear that remains so that you can embrace the present and the future. These characters each have their strengths and weaknesses, as all human beings do. Carrie Ann brings a realistic view of what is like to have to face a foe that you thought you had already beaten. I would recommend this book as well as any of her others.

Hope...

Loved listening to Hope Restored, narrated by Gregory Salinas. Wonderful love story of 2 people overcoming illness and abuse to find a best friend relationship that turned into the loves of each other's lives. This book had all of the feels that a great story could ever have. I volunteered an honest review for this Audible book.

Loved it!

I got a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review so here we go:

What an emotional friends to lovers ride... Tessa & Murphy have been playing the flirting game for a long time now. But when Murphy 's cancer returns once more everything is bound to change. Their new circumstances make not only grow their attraction by the second, but also realize that every day that passes it's not coming back. Will they act on their feelings?
Amazing loveable characters, super hot steamy scenes and great narrator.

Loved Murphy and Tessa

I think Murphy is my favorite Gallagher brother. Seeing glimpses of him in the previous books was nice but to get to know him was awesome. He is such a sweet guy that has had life try to push him down. No matter what he pushes through and loves his family. I also loved Tessa. In the previous book you only saw her as the girl who went out and had to be dragged home by her friend but now you get to see the real her. The flirting between her and Murphy was great but when they both realize there may be more to gain then loose if they are together it is great. Friendship is the best place to start a relationship and that is what they do. I liked that it didn't shy away from what was going on in Murphys life and how Tessa was able to help him to get through a tough time. Loved this sorry there are no more brothers but look forward to the next story from Carrie Ann.

I truly enjoyed the narrator on this book. I have listened to a few others and have found that I like the male readers more then the females though it would be nice to have both on a book:) loved the story and reader would definitely recommend

Wow! I think my speakers are still steaming!

I hadn't read any of this series yet, but Murphy & Tessa pulled me right in. This is a well-crafted story read by a talented male narrator. I haven't found many male narrators that can keep my interest, but this one did.

I can't wait to read more about the Gallaghers!

Murphy & Tessa

Murphy's story almost broke me. It was so heart-wrenching and fantastic. I laughed, I cried, I fell for Murphy and broke with him. Tessa was the prefect woman for Murphy and was able to stand by him while he went through something truly life changing. This was really an amazing story and Carrie Ann Ryan tackled an event in someone's life that hopefully none of us experience, but she handled it in a way that was very classy. It took me a bit to enjoy Gregory Salinas' narration of the story. I felt like he was over enunciating words at times and reading at a pace I didn't particularly enjoy. With time I got used to his narration style. I think a dual narration would have enhanced the story, but I ended up enjoying this narration.

An Awesome Story!

This book can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the first books in the series so you understand all the different relationships and how this couple truly comes together. This book will make your heart hurt. Everything that Murphy goes through is heart wrenching and when you find out Tessa's problems it just adds to it. There are moments in this book that if you have any kind of heart, you will cry. Especially if you have ever been through anything like it. I loved this story. Yes, he is going through hell. But it also shows us there is light at the end. That life can still go on and be absolutely amazing even through the darkest times. Its a beautiful story! The narrator is great. He hooks you from the start and kept it interesting while telling a wonderful story!
