Publisher's Summary

The highly anticipated conclusion to the epic and exciting Kingmaker Chronicles series

The destiny Catalia "Cat" Fisa has spent her entire life running from has finally caught up to her. But in order to truly accept her fate and become Queen of Thalyria, Cat and her dedicated husband Griffin Sinta will have to go to war with the severely oppressed Fisa - and it's violent alpha, Cat's homicidal mother.

But when Cat's magic refuses to work like it should, she has to unleash the power she's been afraid of. And when her misuse of the god's gifts lands her in Tartarus, a land reserved for eternal punishment, Cat will have to accept herself - past, present, and future - if she wants any chance of making it out alive.

Sorry to Say....

I love the first two books in this series. The world building and character development in them are beautiful and re-listening to them isn't a chore (I think I'm up to three times now which isn't usual for me). Needless to say I've been awaiting the third and final book with baited breath and I'm at best apathetic.

The book found Cat growing and regressing over and over in very short periods of time, often even repeating the same phrases in her epiphanies. If anything she lost dimension from the last two stories to this one and Griffin was extra super flat.
The story went almost nowhere in such a long time. The author focused on encounters that could have been brief and glazed over more important interactions, and many of the scenarios were echoed later in the story.

I was so frustrated and annoyed that I almost didn't finish this one guys....

whiny lead's monolauges.

definitely struggled. It was just rambling of s whiny woman. ance the worst were shoved in sex scenes. It could have been shorter... should have been shorter. The last six minutes or so of the abrupt ending. not a good book

What a ride!

It was like a rollercoaster! It is a ride I will get in line to ride again! I was on the edge of my seat! It was a great resolution to the series. I ended the story feeling proud of Cat! Great writing and love the narrator's voice for Cat.
Ps...Kato? I am hoping for more stories from the Kingmaker world. I am eager to learn more about other characters.

Great Conclusion

Amazing book! Very captivating. Wish the trilogy wasn't over. Maybe there will be a spinoff series?

Sad Day

I’m so sad it’s over. But I will likely listen to them all over again. This is now my favorite series! I want to hear more about Carver’s story and how he finds love, is it with the ex princess? I also want to hear about Likeron and his Dove! Fingers crossed one day it will be written!!
