the age thing was too weird for me

This book had some fun romantic moments, but i just couldn’t get past the flashbacks with a grown man paying this kind of attention to a 16 year old girl. Sir, that is a CHILD. Not for me. Narrator did a great job though, her performance was lovely.

Not what I was expecting from reviews

Idk… this book was not for me. I don’t like how the chapters are flipped between present and past for some reason it confused me while listening to the audio…. The story also was not spicy at all… so if you are looking for that, I would move on. It was very tense and I was kept waiting… slow burn. But then the fire was ehh…..

Story itself was interesting but I honestly wouldn’t recommend this.

Very different than I usually read. Reels you in … & makes you want more. Ready for the next one!

Reminded me of ACOTAR, well told!

Loved the story, loved the pacing and the reader did awesome! Really brought me back to ACOTAR as it shares similar story telling elements, but it was a new story and I can’t wait to read the second.

Narrarator cant do men's voices

Like at this point.... we really just don't want romance/romantasy audio books that dont bother to have a male and female narrator. I'll deal with it for the most part but with this lady I often couldn't tell who's part she was reading and had to follow along with the Kindle Unlimited text to get certain dialogs and at the end.... just abandoned the audio all together and read it myself.
Honesty, you modeled the MMC after the Witcher and thought a woman could pull off the vibe?
