Some of my words could spoil parts of the plot….



I love the characters and worlds JLA builds.

I think my only critique would be that I did hear some descriptions and characteristics that she uses for Poppy, Sera, and some other heroines in her other novels but that’s just something I picked up because I enjoy her books and have reread some. Also, the way the two characters relate is also very similar to how her other main characters/love interests relate in her other novels. It reminds me of how an actor could get typecasted into a role. But instead of actor its the main characters.

Calista is an interesting character and I am excited to see what role she plays in the oncoming troubles in her world. I really like this take on the ‘future’, it was unexpected and I enjoy being surprised. Thorn is a multidimensional character whose development will be fun to see. I enjoy their banter. I am excited for more world building and I hope the next book is as enjoyable as this one. JLA has a lot of talent in her creativity and I love seeing that.

Fall of Ruin and Wrath is a retelling of the Flesh and Fire series, which is a retelling of the From Blood and Ash series. They all pull from each other a little too much. However, I personally love the Flesh and Fire series, and this hit the spot exactly. What made this story stand out from the previous ones I mentioned was the outstanding performance from the narrator. She is probably one of the best narrators I’ve come across in the genre, and I am an avid audiobook listener. I would love to hear more from her. She really is a wonderful performer and she deserves a lot more work.!

is a very good book. little weird on the beginning, but good. the end, make me angry because I hate to be to have to wait a year to continue to know what is going to happen. I do hope the others that can't lie are misinformed about him....

Phenomenal

I devoured this book. Spectacular it had me entranced from the first to the last page! Jennifer L. Armentrout is my favorite author and she constantly is blowing it out the water. cant wait for book 2!!

More story less sex please

I’m as hot blooded as the next girl but it’s like they wanted to make the story longer so they added a lot more sex than needed. I found myself thinking “again?!?” and then fast forwarding to the next chapter. Story sucked me in (even though her endless angst) and I want to continue reading the next one but hopefully it has more story than this first one.

Compelling story, but felt like only half a book

Narrator is fantastic! But if you take out the angst/sex, there was not enough action/plot for this to feel like a complete book

At first, I thought there might be too much space, but that when the plot was around, it was perfect. Now I love all of it equally. I want more!!! I NEED MORE!!!
